Story: 7/10
Misaki, the main protagonist, is immediately introduced as the strict, temperamental "demon" girl. The story takes setting at Seika High, which is a school that recently became coed. Misaki's biggest goal is getting more girls to attend Seika, and to do so, she must cleanse the school of the "filthiness" of boys. Also, she holds a heavy resentment against Usui Takumi, the typical handsome fellow who rejects all love confessions. Art: 8/10
The various expressions were drawn very enthusiastically. It was fun to watch the exaggerated comic-like faces, and it brought a really nice comedic feel to the series. Most scenes involving any sort of action was over the top, so if you're more interested in realistic scenes, this anime probably isn't for you. Personally, I don't mind watching anime that makes it possible for one girl to pummel an entire crowd of grown boys at once, so I liked it.
Sound: 7/10
You will notice as the series goes on that the same few tunes are played over and over again. A lot of anime does this, so it's no surprise, but I usually like having a variety of music instead of that one annoyingly catchy piano tune that plays in every scene. The opening and closing songs are to be expected.
Character: 7/10
The character development in this series is a bit so-so. In the end, Misaki is the same person she was in the first episode: pushy and easily aggravated. However, her personality towards Usui does change very, very subtly. It didn't bother me much, but I would have liked to hear more about Usui's backstory. He didn't reveal much about himself, which left an uncomfortable two-dimensional feel to him. The other characters weren't developed at all; they all remained pretty much the same throughout the series, making their expected appearances. Not to say that they weren't interesting, but the only "side stories" involved were about Yukimura, Kanou, and Hinata, and those were not as in-depth as I would have liked.
Enjoyment: 9/10
Any anime I watch to the last episode is one that I enjoy very deeply. Although when separated, the different ratings are a little low, I found that overall Maid-sama wasn't too shabby. There was something about it that made me want to continue watching. I became really frustrated about Misaki's lack of self-awareness, but that only kept my eyes on the screen. The manga is a much more detailed version of the anime, so I felt that the show was made just for those who love romantic anime.
Overall: 8/10
I recommend that you read the manga first, and then watch the anime. Watching this gave me good laughs, despite the lack of character development and repetitive music.

Story:
"Deep". There's one word to describe Death Note. When I first began watching this, I knew it was going to involve some paranormal/horror factor. But since I noticed how attractive the protagonist was, I'd expected it to have romance. Then I realized, three episodes in, that Light Yagami was actually the antagonist in a way, because of his monsterousness. I was completely shocked but at the same time pulled into it even more. more thing: Light's character is absolutely brilliant. There are so many surprising twists to the plot and it is quite riveting if you ask me.
Art:
The art is very detailed. It is definitely different from shoujo anime. It was creative and realistic. The characters almost resembled real people. Characters' faces had fine lines and wrinkles, something I really appreciated. The faces Light made when he was being crazy looked a little psychotic and weird to me, though. I laughed at them more than cowered in fear lol.
Sound:
I loved all of it. The beginning theme was like metal rock, and it was very new to me. Most of the songs in the anime were lovely piano pieces, and brought spectacular emotion to the scenes.
Character:
You've got a psychopath as your protagonist. How much better could it get? You've also got his rival, a good guy but technically the antagonist. Then we have the shinigami, which had great personality. The characters, as I have said before, are just like real life people.
Enjoyment:
Like I said, I didn't expect the plot I got when I decided to watch Death Note. Still, I was sucked into it. It's not something you would expect to like. I was still a little upset that there was no romance, but then again, he was evil and only loved himself.
Overall:
Outstanding. I don't really have any complaints, but it would have been pretty sweet if he fell in love or something. But that's just me.

Story:
The plot overall is very unique. There are plenty of subplots and good mystery to be revealed gradually throughout the anime. I loved that it was multi-faceted and could be described as dramatic, romantic, or comedic. The romance wasn't annoyingly teasing like it usually is in most anime. It's not quite straightforward, either, but I believe that this anime was made to expose the benefits of friendship and whatnot. There is a romance factor, clearly, but it did not overwhelm the true plot. The ending was nicely climactic but it did leave a cliffhanger, which was sort of upsetting because where I live it is

very difficult to find the manga of certain anime to finish the actual story. If you do happen to know where the Fruits Basket manga is sold or even have copies of it ready, be prepared because although there is an alright ending to the show there are still loose ends that are tied up in the continuation of the manga. I haven't read the manga myself, however, so I suggest reading it from the beginning anyway since they sometimes vary from the anime's storyline.
Art:
I'm not generally picky about the artwork of anime. But I know good art when I see it. The art for Fruits Basket was absolutely terrific. I don't know, maybe I am exaggerating a bit. But I loved the realistic features of it and the zodiac animals were adorable. The expressions were well done and the bodies looked proportional. The chibi faces made for great humor as well.
Sound:
If I'm honest, the songs weren't too bad. But they were extremely repetitive and got kind of skeevy after a while. The solemn tunes creeped me out after about the tenth episode. They can be tolerated, but don't be surprised if you start humming them to yourself out of nowhere.
Character:
I loved the characters! They were all fantastically developed at an even pace. I feel that character development and growth is one of the hardest aspects in anime making, simply because it usually sucks. All the main characters started out as seemingly vague students with ordinary lives. Personalities stuck out nicely and I thought it was exceptional how even the side characters had 3-dimensional personalities. Of course, I do think that the producer of the anime kind of overdid Tohru's bottomless pit of kindness and selflessness. It was just surreal how much of a masochist/sadist she appeared to be. Also, in the English dubbed version, her voice irritated me often.
Enjoyment:
I definitely enjoyed watching this. I even rewatched it several times. I only wished they had finished out the actual story from the manga with more seasons instead of just cutting off at episode 26. I was disappointed by that, mainly because I'm too lazy to pick up a book, but other than that it was a satisfying ride.
Overall:
Art and character were my favorites regarding Fruits Basket. I would have liked to hear less taunting music and have a more "complete" feel to the ending. I highly recommend this anime for anyone looking for a laid back kind of watch.
