I really loved this anime. It has a very intriguing story, and some twists in character development. I found myself emotionally attached to some characters, particularly Homura. I think if you watch this, you'll definitely find yourself getting emotional while watching.
The voice acting was great, and I don't really have any major complaints about anything.
The only things I didn't like would be the art for the witches, especially in the beginning (I did like the art for everything else though), and I also would have liked the ending to provide more closure, however a sequel movie has recently been announced so that's no longer

Claymore has a very interesting plot, and the voice acting and animation are nice. Superb use of character development is a major aspect of what makes this anime so good. It was suspenseful, and there were many times when I couldn't wait to find out what happened next, so I ended up watched several episodes in one night.
It has a mixed ended, with some closure but also intentionally left open, which makes me wish there was a second season. I suppose I'll have to pick up the manga to discover how the story continues.

I finished this show about 9 months ago, but I'm just now getting around to review it.
The Higurashi series is my all time favourite anime series, so obviously I really enjoyed watching this. It is a must watch for all anime lovers. The opening songs for the first two seasons (which includes this one) are two of my favourite songs. Kai, in my opinion, is better than the first season. It gets even darker, and character background is further elaborated, especially the characters Rika and Takano. The mystery is further developed yet answers are also provided.
