This show really knows how to do comedy right. It plays around with clichés instead of becoming one, and the every dialogue feels like it's part of a skit (there's a lot of that Japanese "konto" style humour).

The premise is simple and funny enough that you don't have to think or wonder about (like you might with Overlord, Log Horizon, etc.), the characters are great, and you can see that the main thing the entire studio focused on was the humour. The drawing, the movements, the sound effects, the quickness of the witty replies, the voice acting, everything is centred around humour, and it WORKS.

The first episode and the community hype gives you a lot of hope. But other than the interesting concept (well, it's not that new, even Osmosis Jones did it), the show is very cliché, has no story (more slice of life), and the characters are all basic.

Before you go on hating this review because this show is your new favourite anime, please give it a minute.
