While they both fall into the romance genre, they set aside just as much room for comedy too. It also helps that they are teen rom/coms that take place in high school.

If you liked Kanon (2006) add

It's as close as you'll get. Kind hearted male protagonist surrounded by a harem of girls. Friendships are made and characters are developed through said friendships.

If you liked Cowboy Bebop add

...then you might like Psycho-Pass add

You get a very similar thrill watching Psycho Pass as you do with Cowboy Bebop. It also has to be said that watching the battle between one of the main protagonists and the antagonist feels like deja vu.
