I have always considered myself to be a fan of zodiac signs, both regular ones, and Chinese ones.
And finding Fruits basket; an anime based on zodiac signs, that was a blessing, I knew I just had to watch it. And guess what?
I did!
And I ~loved it~
Let me tell you 12 reasons why I loved this anime... (just like 12 zodiac signs, get the reference?)
1- The story: Yeah sure, this is a typical cheesy shoujo anime with that typical cheesy love triangle. But the aspect of adding zodiac signs was very creative and made the plot

Ok, so imagine the little mermaid. Except 100 times cuter. That is how you get Ponyo! Ponyo is a story about a little girl/fish (I am not sure what to call her.) Who dreams of living on land after a tide brings her near the house of little Sousuke whom she wants to be friends with. This is an adorable short anime the whole family can enjoy together! The art style is simple yet really colorful and enchanting! The music was just as appealing as the art in the sense that it went along with the story. Oh my god, Your Lie in April was a masterpiece. An absolutely heartbreaking yet amazing masterpiece! (does that even make sense?)
This anime will tear you apart and make you think about your life, that's what makes it so unique! however, there are (many) moments where the characters got on my nerves. In addition, there were times where the plot felt a bit too slow and repetitive but the outstanding art and amazing music definitely made up for it.
