Just a whole lot of screaming, crying, and no character growth.
The amount of whining and crying by the main is just a huge drag on the entire show. Anything that gives him friction just turns into a crying fest. He refuses to get stronger physically and mentally throughout the show - which is in opposition to his innate power.
The main realises he has a special ability but never develops it. He only uses it out of desperation or by happenstance. It's never skillfully employed which, by the lore or the story, could be easily done. This fact alone becomes incredibly frustrating in later

episodes when the viewer has better insight to the ability and knows how to use it yet the main remains stagnant with the knowledge.
The main has access to the most skilled people of the land and not once seeks their tutelage to become stronger to protect the people he holds dear. No, instead something bad happens and he cries for half an episode and then his special skill is triggered by happenstance.
If watching a pathetic main fawn over a girl who is leagues away and cries over everything then this show is for you!

no, the show doesn't get better as the episodes unfold. Just more screaming and crying.
