I don't know where to start for this. Many complaints about this anime have to do with it being rushed, which it absolutely is. However, the pacing wouldn't actually be a problem if the story was good. I'm not sure how to hide spoilers on here so I'm going to give my overall before I go into the details so I'll give a warning before it gets there.
To begin with, it's disappointing. The first two episodes have sincere potential and it's all downhill from there. As someone else said, there's no character arch, and there's no big moral. All twists are comically uncreative and equally
...
unfathomable. There's a point at the end where I almost admire the creators' ability to not give a shit.
Essentially, it goes like this (this is where some spoilers happen):
The first half, you are watching two people on opposite walks of life learning to live around the other and being detectives in their unconventional ways.
Second half, you have begun watching a Sci Fi anime. Expect absolutely anything to happen because it will. Dreamscapes generated by AI? Ok. Morph suits that make you invincible and invisible? Yeah. Changing faces with hyperrealistic face masks? Anything happens here!
Anyway, the art is by far the best part of this anime. It's beautiful. Everything else is almost unbelievably terrible.
