I had initially started this anime to engage in the custom of yelling at Shinji to get in the robot. It only took half an episode from me to completely reverse that.
-Story-
The storyline is very good, very imaginative, very interesting. The plot is very motivating and doesn't stall a lot. There's a bunch of action in the series and a lot of twists and turns in the plot. majority of the series has the same formula: insert mild issue between the characters and/or possible solution for upcoming Eva battle, Angel descends, Eva unit deployed, Darwinism prevails. The reason I rank the story as a 7 is because I found the ending unsatisfying and rather cheap. Like they didn't know how to end the series. Don't expect the ending of Evangelion to be like Gurren Lagann.
-Art-
Awesome! Beautiful, but not afraid to be gory.
-Sound-
Very good. Voice acting is very good and appropriate. Soundtrack is great. The use of "Fly Me To the Moon," as the theme of this anime is... strange and dreamlike.
-Characters-
So let's talk about Shinji. Shinji is not your hero in this series. I've heard lot of people complain about Shinji because he's a whiny pansy, but I feel the series really makes you sympathize with him. There's a lot of really good reasons for Shinji to behave the way he does. He's some poor 14-year-old kid thrown repeatedly into emotionally traumatizing scenarios due to his uncanny ability to fight in an alien-killing machine. He probably has the world's most pathetic motivation for doing the things he does, but the series gives you opportunities to understand him.
I enjoy how Asuka and Rei are kind of like foils for each other.
Each character is uniquely psychologically messed up. For reals. A friend of mine and I joked about the application for NERV having a questionnaire like: (1) Have you lost at least one loved one? (2) Do you suffer from bouts of depression? (3) On a scale of 1-10, how much angst would you say you have?
Favorite character: Honestly? Eva Unit 01. That thing is a beast.

A glorious anime about music, inspiration, and love.
-Story-
Well done. Beautiful. Sad. There is a wonderful use That beng said, however, there are a few minor details I'd like to point out. There are times where the some strange plotholes. For example: you never find out what kind of illness Koari has. It drives so much drama in the story but it's strangely omitted. But I suppose since the plot is so exemplary it's really just an unnecessary technicality. Though, for a anime that's so outstanding, it's weird that they don't name the illness.
Overall, though, the story

fantastic. Don't sweat the small stuff. The ending will leave you regretful and hopeful. Bring a box of tissues for the last episode. You're going to need it.
-Art-
Glorious. Wonderful. The amount of work that must have been put into animating the piano hands must have been insane. The last episode uses such fantastic art and symbolism.
-Sound-
Soundtrack was wonderful. Voice-acting was phenomenal.
-Character-
All the characters are wonderful! I have no complaints about them! One of my favorite things about the characters is how well their relationships are portrayed. I love that even though Emi and Takeshi are Kousei's rivals, they grow and influence each other as musicians in a positive manner.
My favorite character is Kaori Miyazono. All the great things this anime makes you feel--hope, joy, sorrow--they all start with her.

I found Death Note to be great, dramatic, supernatural and suspenseful! I highly recommend this anime if you also like protagonists who evolve into villains.
-Story-
The story is overall very good. I found the first half of the series better than the second, though. There's so many twists and turns in the plot and the tense battle of wits between Light and L create so many nail-biting moments that keep you on the edge of your seat.
What I find really good about this anime is that it doesn't really make you sympathize with Light, even if he is the main character.

He's a horrible, egotistical, homicidal person with a god complex and it's enthralling.
Personally, I like the ending of the anime a little better than the manga. I found it more poetic.
However, if you dislike Light a lot, I would probably recommend reading the manga. I feel the ending would be much more satisfying for you.
-Art-
Very well done. At times it seems a little over dramatic (and somewhat hilarious.) Literally Light Yagami is just sitting at his desk scribbling names onto paper and there's too much flourish into it. But anyway, the art style is very good.
-Sound-
Voice acting is good. I find it very interesting that the Death Note Main theme has such a heavy monastic style (very fitting for Light's desire to cleanse the world and become a God) and sounds suspiciously like O Fortuna from Carmina Burana.
-Character-
This anime offers a lot of interesting character with interesting backstories, personalities, and developments. If you're fond of people descending into cut-throat madness, then you'll certainly enjoy watching Light evolve throughout the series.

Oh man, this manga. If you like over-dramatized, high school, slide-of-life manga, go right ahead.
-Story-
The plot is so over-dramatic I found it impossible to connect with any of the characters or the story at all. Even the overall plot of nice girl slowly melts the icy heart of popular boy so dull.
So much goes on with this story at such an inflated, ridiculous scale.
-Art-

It looks pretty.
-Character-
This manga tries to offer interesting characters like Ushio and Maora and attempts to include substories, but for me it really just falls flat. Takanari's family backstory is ridiculous and unrealistic. The only sadness I feel is for how badly-written it is.

If you want something cute with a little magical twist, I would recommend this.
-Story-
There are times when the story of Full Moon wo Sagashite is really good and really makes you cry and there are times where it really just comes off as unrealistic and over-dramatic. Part of it is due to poor characterization and the other is due to the lose plot.

nice. Cheers." You expect it. It doesn't wow you. It's cliche.
-Art-
Tanemura has the best art that I've ever seen in the Shoujo Manga genre. That's half the reason why I read through all of Full Moon wo Sagashite in the first place.
-Characters-
They're all right. That's, really as much as I can say. You do start to sympathize with the characters, as each of them their mandated backstory.
My favorite character is Takuto because I like cats. Izumi is a close second.

If you like horror, magical girl genres with surprise endings, I'd really recommend this series!
-Story-
The storyline was really good! It still stays true to the unsettling, nitty-gritty magical girl genre the series showcases.
In this movie you get to see all the main characters interacting with each other and having fun. You get the full cast really enjoying their time as magical girls. It's really sweet because that doesn't happen in the anime TV series.

The artstyle of the characters is really too cutsey-cutsey for me, but it may just be a stylistic choice to offset the underlying dark plot.
The stop-motion-like animation for the witch's labyrinth is always a (horrific) joy to behold.

Voice acting is very good. Soundtrack is very good.
-Character-
This anime movie really delves into the psyche of Homura Akemi. I won't write anymore except that it's quite fascinating.
My favorite character is still Kyoko Sakura, though.

If you're not too particular, this manga's pretty good. I ruined any hope of my continuing to read this manga by looking into the actual gods the characters are based off of.
All in all, it's a really good, compelling manga if you overlook the blatant liberties it takes in mythological accuracy.
(Though I digress, even the actual mythology isn't even all consistent.)
-Story-
This is a rather interesting manga about gods and their dependency upon people rather than the people's dependency upon them. It's an amusing thought.
The manga has action, tragedy, hilarity, and mystery! So it offers a lot. Just,

uh, don't look up the actual gods. Just don't. It ruined everything for me.
-Art-
Very good! Well done! Fight scenes look fantastic! Art style is great!
-Characters-
The characters really help draw you into the story. You really start to cheer for Yato early on the story; you really want him to succeed. And Yukine really starts to grow on you once he gets over himself. Hiyori is also really sweet. It's really nice to see these characters come together and draw strength from each other.
My favorite character is Yato. He's so silly! (And also really, really sad and complicated and heroic.)

A mecha space anime that doesn't really stand out from the rest but it was pretty good.
-Story-
The story took a while for me to get into, mostly because I kind of found the plot uninteresting and a little overdone The usual deal where people get off the earth and suddenly think they're better than everyone because why not? (They do point out that the Martians are originally FROM Earth, but that apparently doesn't stop the prejudice.) While I'm a fan of robots fighting in space, there's nothing new that this anime offers.
Season two of this anime really got my attention.

You start seeing some really good things happen in season two.
-Art-
Art was pretty good, the only reason why I gave it a 6 was because of the bad CG utilized for the mechs.
-Sound-
It was all right. No real complaints. Voice acting was good.
-Character-
The characters don't offer a lot, really. The only reason why I'd give it an 8 is because Slaine Troyard's character growth is really, really good.
I find Inaho Kaizuka little interesting. He's rather expressionless and practical for a main character and doesn't really evolve much throughout the series, unlike Slaine.
I found Elysium rather typical. There's really nothing special about her from your usual princess. It looked like she had much more to offer to the series, though.

If you're a fan of cute animes with dark storylines, this one is for you.
-Story-
The storyline was very well-paced and very good! The best thing about this anime is that is really delves into a more realistic, nitty gritty magical girl genre. It really makes you think about the consequences of magic and the cost a magical girl pays to get her power.
-Art-
I find the artstyle of the characters kind of an eyesore, really. Waaaay to cutsey-cutsey. Madoka and her mother have the exact same face shape. I suppose you can argue that it's a stylistic choice to offset the

dark plot? But it took me about 7 episodes to take this show seriously due to the art style.
The animation, itself, is very good though! The fight scenes look amazing.
I find the stuttering animation of the Witch's Labyrinth so unsettling and it's awesome! That was a very good stylistic choice!
-Sound-
Voice acting is very good. Soundtrack is very good. The subtle, creepy giggles and wonky tones utilized in the witch's labyrinth are very appropriate.
-Character-
Character-wise, this anime doesn't offer anything really different than your typical magical girl series. You've got: the bubbly main character, the cool senpai, the sporty girl, the rude girl, and the quiet girl. Again, you could probably argue that that was a deliberate stylistic choice.
My favorite character, oddly enough, is Kyoko Sakura. I like how she's tough and I think her weapon is cool.

I love this anime so much!! I initially was a little skeptical when I started watching this anime, but I'm a big fan of mecha so I kept going and I am so happy I did!
If you're a big fan of mecha and robots duking it out and shouting, I highly recommend this series!
-Story-
The plot was so well-paced, the characters are top-notched and energetic. Even though this anime is set in this barren wasteland universe where everyone lives underground, you really get into the story and into the characters! When Kamina cheers you on you cheer up, when everyone wins

you feel like you've won too, when everyone cries you feel like your heart is being torn out. And boy, episode 8 really goes for the metaphorical jugular of feels. I could not stop crying at the end of episode 8. Prepare yourself for that because this anime does a great job of building you up and then ripping you down violently and without mercy. Episode 8, man.
-Art-
So amazing and fluid! Very interesting style of having the faces of the mechas in the body.
The second season utilizes a bit too much panty and butt shots in my opinion, but I consider than a sort of occupational hazard when you call yourself an anime geek.
-Sound-
Awesome! Voice acting is very good! I've only watched the Japanese-With-English-Subs, but I'm told the English Dub is quite well done!
-Character-
The characters are very well done! Kamina is great! Simon is great! Yoko is great! Leeron is great! They're all great!
The cast is quite large, and you can tell that some of the characters get much more screen time than others, but you still really find yourself loving them all!
I actually really like how the characters mature during the gap between the second and first season of Gurren Lagann. You see what kind of people the characters have become and it's great.
My favorite character is Simon. He shows such phenomenal character growth throughout the series.
