I have never written a review before, however, this manga was so bad i felt compelled to. I had seen screenshots of it before and decided to check it out because of the nice art and hot main guy, and went into this pretty skeptical after I read the synopsis. I am not a fan of harems, but thought I should try one on for size.
The entire time I read Hare-kon, i felt sick to my stomach. the women in this marriage are being emotionally abused and MC was sexually assaulted several times in the 30 something chapters I read. For something that's supposed ... to be a romance, the mangaka does a really terrible job at it. Ryuu is a perverted, self-centered, disgusting character who preys on these young girl's fragile emotions. The other wives are terrible to the MC because they are jealous of her, even though they fucking agreed to this harem marriage. I literally cannot wrap my mind around being in a relationship this toxic.
Every chapter left me feeling broken, yet I could not stop reading. there was NO fun in reading this, only despair and wishes of saving MC from this hell situation. I was talking to my actual boyfriend while reading this, and it made me so emotionally vulnerable that I started crying when he said something goofy to me.
TLDR; this is an emotionally manipulative manga about an abusive relationship, and not a fun one at that. Do not read if you are a sensitive person like me.
