How do we glamorize edgy 14 year old kids riding on their daddy's hard earned salary that they then use to cop a F10 China bike model to try and look gangster? - is what the producers of this show thought before creating this garbo.
I am going to first start with the foreground of this garbo anime. The simping:
Takemichi Hanagaki's Simping Saga: While it's natural for characters to have flaws and quirks, his relentless simping for Hinata Tachibana reaches unbearable levels. His dependence on her and constant sacrifices for their relationship create an unhealthy dynamic that lacks growth. Is this the kind of material that
...
young Otaku palates should be absorbing as they dive into this anime?
Gang Violence Glamorization: The concerning aspect of Tokyo Revengers is its portrayal of gang violence as a solution rather than addressing its consequences. The series glamorizes gang members, presenting them as cool and powerful figures, sending an extremely wrong message to its young impressionable and rather peaceful otaku viewers. This narrative choice risks promoting real-world harm without addressing the underlying issues. Being in a gang and owning a bat is not cool. Beating people up is not cool either.
Takemichi's constant crying for every single background character: "Omg Mickey!! omg you have been through so much omgg omgg!! ". You cannot convince me that Takemichi wouldn't mind cleaning the shoes of his entire gang just to 'fit in'. There's nothing remotely appealing nor admirable about this. The story focuses on trying to make you like Takemichi which many Otakus that are desperately looking for purpose (like Takemichi) would relate to. But if you have a decent life, it's simply impossible to like the MC.
Overall. If you are looking to be confused by nonstop back and forth time travels, see a simp get beaten up and still continue simping for some random dudes, and overall glamorize gangs that otherwise hurt real people with families. This is the show for you to watch.

Do you enjoy cosplaying as a furry? - is what the producers gathered at the team discussion before creating this 'masterpiece' anime of the year animation. No its not the fact that this anime's premise is centered around furries and animal communication on why its so appalling. The protagonist, Odokawa, resembling a boomer beta walrus in character design, further adds to the show's glimpseness into why it is such garbo .
The concept of anthropomorphic animals as primary characters is a bold choice for Odd Taxi. While other anime have successfully blended human and animal traits (e.g: Beastars which is a real 10/10), this series struggles
...
to find the right balance. The result is characters that come across as strange and disconcerting rather than endearing. For example Odokawa, a walrus resembling a stereotypical boomer, his appearance fails to captivate viewers visually. His physique and facial features hinder personal connection, especially when coupled with his role as a taxi driver—creating an impression of forced quirkiness.
But all this falls short to the BIGGEST negative of all. Which is the use of a gorilla character named Dobu, for perpetuating stereotypes by portraying him as a strong and intimidating figure. This representation aligns with the common trope of "musclebound" or "brute" characters often found in fiction. Many can argue that these simplistic and potentially harmful stereotypes associated with certain physical attributes and animal traits are cliche, but I would argue even go as far as arguing that it's racism.
Another aspect is Shirakawa, a WOMAN sheep character, with a FULL beard. If the presence of the beard could be seen as an effort to generate shock value or provoke reactions without offering sufficient context or depth for the character; I would say that the producers of this show indeed got what they achieved. But in my case, it would even distract me from being able to focus on the story when she's on screen.
If a girl sheep with a beard, a boomer walrus that has plans to die completely alone, and a wild raging stereotypical gurella is what you are into, then indeed; you will love Odd Taxi. I for one found it utterly appaling.

Do you enjoy simping for a girl that doesnt ever texr you back? Do you love purchasing 'content' of girls that love to milk you for your money? If so, then this show was meant for you
What did the producers think when making this show? "How do I use deep quotes for 14 year old kids to make this show sound deep and thoughtful "- is what the producers of this anime thought they were doing. How do I use my grandpa's dying breath to encourage me to persue a fruitless acting career. How do I employ some some extremely smart and attractive Mizuhara that
...
cant even take a basic hint that, Kazuya, much like the typical real life simp, loves her but is too scared to ask her out.
I am not kidding by the way. I can't be bothered but a quick google search of this anime can find you some 'thought propelling' quote that somehow explains why its totally reasonable to put some human on a pedestal
Kazuya's lack of self-respect and unrelenting pursuit of Chizuru is the only point of this show, but this persuit just gets worse and worse.
But it's not just Kazuya's simping that ruined this season. The side characters were neglected and their potential wasted, as the show focused solely on the Kazuya-Chizuru trainwreck. It felt like the creators had tunnel vision, forgetting the richness of the supporting cast that had initially made the series interesting.
Characters. Oh lmao. If you have made it so far to season 3, huge props to you. It's as if the writers forgot about character arcs and decided to turn the show into a "How to put someone on a pedestal" tutorial.
Oh and like the typical theme of this show, you'll love how all the background people always have something to say about how 'how did this creep date that girl'
And while some might argue that simping is a relatable theme in today's world, the sheer exaggeration and repetitiveness in Rent a Girlfriend Season 3 made it unbearable. Kazuya's character went from mildly endearing to downright insufferable.
In conclusion, Rent a Girlfriend Season 3 much like the rest of its seasons, is downright trash.
PS: a quick word about art, if you enjoy

After two decently good seasons, Yahare/Snafu was on a long hiatus for 5 years. You would expect that with this ample amount of time the author of the light novel would create more complexity and sophistication in his work especially since this is what the show tries so hard to sell, however Yahari Season 3 is here to prove that wrong
Story:
The story becomes much like a high school cringefest drama. People that are scared to admit they like someone, coming up with insanely high IQ mental masturbation techniques to convince themselves they are doing something worthy. The 'high IQ deep talks' also make little to
...
no sense and at times it seems very obvious that the anime is just trying to make a dialogue sound deep for the sake of it.
Art:
The art is decent however the lack of frames is pretty astonishing from start to end and it's very surprising considering this anime came after several years and a ton of delays.
Sound:
The voice actors did a good job but with the horrible lines they were given. Often repetitive, it did them no service to play part for this anime
Character:
This is probably the worst part of all. It is extremely horrible and I'm going to try and explain this in fewer words than I need to.
Basically, everyone other than the main characters completely lack any form of dimensional thinking. A lot of the characters are added purely out of fanservice type, such as the femboy fantasy 'Totsuka', the hardcore yaoi shipper girl whose name I can't remember because she had no other purpose, an anime/weeb 'Zaiogomosa'. The previous seasons still had a decent amount of dimensions to all of these characters but this season was just downright trash.
Yukino Yushikta: Yukino was shown from season 1 itself as an incredibly smart girl. She would analyze things well and cared not for melodrama. However this season is entirely melodrama. They made a strong independent girl into a much more shy, cute, adorable type in order to appease to the otaku palate. In my opinion this is a disservice to her character. She was by no means an ideal female but her composure breaking in every scene of season 3 is just lmaoo
Overall:
Overall this season was full of melodrama. The only show that beats this one in terms of melodrama is Your Lie in April. However I will admit that there are people who can love this season more than any other. Let me explain that further
If you are 14, I can definitely see the appeal of this show. However for anyone that's mature but still enjoys watching anime, doesn't care about fanservice or anime trying to appease the otaku's palate, this show is downright garbage.
Teruu singing out,
