while there is no real story compared to the first one this more tries slices of life cute girls doings thing rout while the first focus more on comedy and this completely took the show in the wrong direction and killed absolutely anything good the first season had the funny comedy scenes about game mechanics gone and even worse there really next to no scenes showing comedy or battle and the slice of life ends up not really having any real energy so it ends up being that dull painfully boring slice of life that is so mundane it hurts ...

the art might be the best part not saying it was good but the scenes that did stuff sometimes got my mild interest but one is the first episodes had a absolutely different kind of anime style that badly did not fit the designs were more fitting in a romance anime but it eventually went to the style more like the first season but another issue while there is movement it is clear that the budget was possible even less then the first as it does everything it can to limit the movement as much as possible

this is another thing that really helps bring it down while the first season the voice acting had energy really keep a energetic feel that matches goofy comedy the voice acting in this season is very monotone and mostly lack any energy this is bad as specially with slice of life when it is focused on normal things having some energy in the voice acting can avoid making it feel so mundane it feels dull

they feel even more bland then the first season only here and there does it even feel like then have the one dimensional character that they had in the first now they they have no separate character there all just one which is what fits the scene and before the one dimensional character could pass by when it was a short episode comedy but going more slice of life rout would mean maybe more then any other genre the characters need to be strong as they are what generally hold everything together and there not but there was still mild enough there to not be a 1

while i rated the first a 5 not great but there was enough there that i felt if it focused the comedy more around the game and less slice of life with the energy the voice acting gave it i felt it would greatly improve while at first i thought it would be another of those zero effort short episode shows it oddly felt like some one put some care into it and i got some enjoyment out of it sadly the season ended up be everything i thought the first would be this got rid of everything good in the first and replaced it with slice of life girls doing things that had no real energy and ended up boring its just sad to see something that really had potential throw that all away

well this really stands out as a weak point compared to everything that came before it as all the other series kept a similar tone while this says fuck the tone the other series had it wants to be edgy action which makes it feel nothing like a 009 series it has the characters but that is about it

my feeling on this is well this exists mostly because i watched the episode version and watching this version just leave me wondering why did the studio waste money remaking only a few years after the other version was made so this will basically be me comparing this to that version but if you want it quick and simple watch the other version instead this does nothing extra except add more episodes

well i ended up enjoying this more then i thought it is not great but i do feel some effort was put in i would say this is average

well i can give the show some credit it takes the world it set up seriously which is a lot more then i can say about many other anime with cute girls doing things which i feel really does some good the it still does not get enough attention atleast i don't feel the only reason its in the anime is because the studio feels its obligated to put it in but as for the ... cute girls doing things part it was not as lazy as some other ones i seen but it does have that type of slice of life that depending on the person they either enjoy it or fine it plain boring and im and a bit surprising this anime actually has a ending climax but really only miner scenes were put in to set it up so really there was not nearly enough done to set it up and if they did it would of likely improved the anime

it is nothing specially it looks about average for a modern anime the fights seemed ok but for the most part felt average

yet another part i would say was average but i did notice in some parts of anime music was playing during a fight scene or some other scenes to set tone which was more then i expected

well the one thing i can give this anime is it was kind enough to not have a over hyper active main character that oh so many cute girls doing things anime have which can work but they don't put enough effort to not make it annoying but enough with that rant the characters i didn't find to be done in a way to annoy me the only a few characters personality the rest were basically pretty generic which i really could not say they had a personality but atleast was set up to be generically entertaining which kept my attention enough

this is the fist time i feel there is a point in doing this section as i do think the reason i enjoyed this more because before it i saw the absolute worse kind of cute girls doing this show before it were it really feels like the plot is a pure excuse and the girls are just everything expected that type of show with very little thought or effort put into it so in comparison even the this had was also kind of a show about cute girl doing things even the it could of used a good bit more work to put everything it has together it felt so much more enjoyable in comparison because i do feel some thought was put in and some thought and the world was handled in a way that made me feel like it was more then a cheap excuse to show cute girls doing thing

really this is average at best but it atleast feels it not trying to lazily copy all the other cute girls doing things anime and have characters that give the tone a bit of a different tone even if to many are to generic but it can feel enjoyable if you like that laid back comedy slice of life it atleast feel like it had thought put into it so i do feel it more people might get a bit of enjoyment out of it even the i would it more one of those animes you watch when there is nothing else you want to watch

well yet another anime about cute girl doing things that pretends to have a plot instead of making it a slice of life comedy that it is

this is basically cute girl doing things everything else either feels badly used or the creators did not care about it the part about the characters being the first females to be this new age fisher is a bit hard to believe and is only used in the most cheapest way possible having the male fishers make a occasional sexist remark telling them to quit but really it just feels like it was used poorly ... and could of been very easily cut and the show would of been made better for it the world is the anime build is interesting but focused on far to little the anime have these things called deitys that help the girls that very rarely show up and it rarely spends anytime on the struggle of fishing really the rare time spend on it was ten times more interesting then most of what the show focused on and if it was given serious focus the show would of been so so much better but no they wanted t to focus on cute girls doing things like there isn't enough anime doing that

the art was colorful and nice enough to look at and the color of the fishing areas on the rare occasions they are shown look good and if shown more might of really got this section a higher rating but sadly it was not meant to be and everything else has the quality you expect from a anime about cute girls doing things

there basically the same characters seen in most anime about cute girls doing things except i did find the main characters hyper active personality to be more annoying then normal and ill fitting when this anime would of definitely improved with a more serious main character with a back story that had a reason they were doing this in the first place and actually there is another girl in the group that is just that but i feel the studio was mostly only interesting in cute girls do things the main character must always be the hyper active girl even when it hurts the anime

the reason i am going so hard on this anime is it has elements in the anime that if the main character was change to one that gave a more serious tone to the anime and focus more on the much more interesting world it set i could see this anime being a 7 or even a 8 but no it had things that were actually interesting and decided to waste it on making another anime about cute girl doing things which there is already a very long list of anime that do this and really the problem is to many like this one try and lie make it seem like it cares about plot it makes me mad when they could of just made a slice of life comedy anime and skip this pretending and it is specially infuriating when they had something they could really build on but they focused on something you can get from hundreds of other anime

if you came here for romance just mentally throw that genre in the trash as there is absolutely no romance and was probably only given that tag because of the game the anime is base off of the rest of the review will cover everything else

story 6
for the first 6 episodes the show feels more like a slice of life anime with moments that feel like they belong in a dramatic mecha anime sprinkled in and for some reason they forced in a band plot that really should of been cut there is also creatures that help the characters fight that really needed more ... attention because the show really failed to fit them in the show the really everything for the first 6 episodes seem like a confused mismatched mess around episode 7 is were the series start mostly focusing on the dramatic mecha feeling plot which is the part i feel the studio was most familiar so it ended up feeling the least confusing and most competently done part of the anime if you like dramatic mecha anime you should get a decent amount of enjoyment in seeing things unfold

for the most part there really isn't much to note but there near the end it uses music in a similar way to a mecha anime to hype what happening up

the art was decent and i noticed the show did a good job at switching between lighter colors during the slice of life parts and during the darker mecha parts things look darker to avoid having the color clash with the very different tones of the show and did a good bit of good it trying to blend things together

characters 2
the only characters that can really be said to develop is a side character called sakura and and the main character they have a few dramatic scenes that are even if a bit generic i feel were poled off well enough as for all the other characters for the first chunk of the anime the only thing reverse harem thing in the anime is the male characters personality's which act how you expect male characters to act in a slice of life reverse harem anime the problem is it absolutely does not mess well with the second part of the anime that change the characters to what is expected from a dramatic mecha anime which while done much better makes it feels like there was no characterization done to set things up they feel like they were completely made to do what the animators needed in order to fit the cliches roles of both genres it just does not feel like the animators knew how to write it to make characters naturally fit whats being done so they didn't even try to

really the biggest problem is i don't think the studio knew how to blend the two parts so it just feels like a mismatched mess that feel more like two different anime and while i really did enjoy how the second half alot more if i rated this higher i feel i would be ignoring just how badly the characters were handled and how poorly the blend things together because i cant help but feel if they but the band part and maybe focused more like a action show it would atleast be less of a sad mess that i don't really think can please any group of anime fans

well this was generic and worth less you should ignore the description as it does not explain what more of the show is about and really gives the wrong idea about the show

well if by story you mean only 4 episodes will have anything much to do with the description then i would say there is not much of one at all the those four episodes were much more interesting then the other 8 episodes which had maybe 5 minutes of action if im being kind the rest of that time was basically cute girls do things

Devilman: Crybaby (Anime) add

i seen everything for this franchise and it feels like parts of Devilman Tanjou-hen,Amon Devilman Mokushiroku,Devilman Lady and Maou Dante were half haphazardly thrown in with some new stuff this tries to be a bit artsy and edgy and ends up being the second worst thing in the franchise

it was pretty bad this franchise can be pretty sexual and all versions have a good amount of gore but this show has a greater amount then the rest of the franchise but feels more poorly used when compared to the rest of the franchise but that is nothing compared to how rapidly and suddenly ...
