Great opening and ending — but what the hell???
I thought Wedding Peach was for little girls and not for gooners.
I really hate how extremely they sexualized those girls — it’s insane.
I didn’t know Wedding Peach had such a big following of weird men, and it’s clear they just capitalized on that.
But they really shouldn’t have done this in the first place.
It’s like sexualizing Sailor Moon in an OVA episode for no freaking reason.
I actually like Wedding Peach, but you can clearly see that the producers just wanted a quick cash grab and didn’t care about the source material.

The movie is so good because of the great character building and how they act, what they want to achieve, and how their goals drive the story.
I really like when Ghibli sets their stories in historically accurate settings. I also appreciate how they talk about World War I and World War II — because studios like Ghibli can give a deeper understanding of people chance because of war. I really recommend this movie. To be honest, I don’t understand why it isn’t as popular as other Ghibli films — maybe it’s because of the more mature nature of the story? or I am just a little delulu and ...

I went to the cinema back then when we had an official German release, and I was really hyped — but I left with a pretty neutral feeling.
It’s a super pretty anime, and I really like the setting, but to be honest, it just wasn’t a 10/10 for me. In my opinion, the movie is a little too long for what it actually is. That said, I have to admit I really liked the ending (the last 3 minutes) — it’s a weirdly romantic ending that worked for me. I’d watch it again if I had the chance, but I’m not sure if my opinion would change for ...

If you consider how old the story is and how hard it might have been to address queer topics back then, the anime is good enough for being a retro Shounen Ai / Yaoi.
To be honest, I wouldn’t watch it again — but I have to say the setting was refreshing, and the melancholic tone worked well. You can watch the full movie on YouTube. The animation is mid, and I don’t care much about the characters — but maybe I’m being too harsh. I’d recommend it, but I’d also say there are other shows that are more interesting and worth your time.

It’s super boring, not gonna lie.
The story is nothing special at all, and I don’t see why people like this anime so much. I think there are way better stories about disabled people and how they live their lives. Also, I don’t like that the story focuses more on the bully than on the girl herself — it’s more about the guy who chose to be an asshole than about the girl, who couldn’t do anything about it in the first place. Of course, the movie is super pretty, and of course, some people see these topics differently then me, but I personally don’t think it’s that ...

The soundtrack and animation are amazing — visually and musically, the movie is a real treat.
If you've never seen the original, this is a great introduction. Because of this movie, I ended up watching the original anime from the 70s. And while it’s true that the movie is different from the original, that doesn’t make it bad. In fact, the differences highlight how each version has its own strengths. It reminded me a lot of Sailor Moon Crystal versus the classic Sailor Moon — not better or worse, just different approaches. Even though I personally prefer the old series, I REALLY liked this movie! In many of her stories, the 14-year-old protagonist is often sexualized, and there are frequently characters who show interest in her in an inappropriate way – which becomes even more problematic when the age difference between the characters is extremely large. In one of those character is , 25-year-old side character who finds the 14-year-old "cute." If you are expecting many plot twists and drama, you are wrong here.
It's a combination of shojo and shonen, the fighting and relationships are amazing (for that what it is.) If you like reading angelic layer, and you want more: choobit is your answer, it's from the same mangaka group and plays in the same universe. Unlike choobits it's not filled with fan service, it's more family friendly and wholesome. Every Character have a good intentions and its more about the fun of playing angelic layer. The Art is unlike all clamp Mangas top tier. You are finished in around about 2h.

This manga was made for the only purpose= fan service (but not in a bad way.)
The art can look a bit strange sometimes, but in general it's good (Shojo style). The best part is that you learn more about the side characters, and in general its more written like a typical Shojo manga. I think it's good that the reader is not overloaded with naked skin and forced situations,(like in other spin-offs series) Also, Nagisas shines here. He is the best character in Koutetsu no Girlfriend. If you like 2000s Shojo and NGE you got the perfect manga for you! But don't expert that the story gets ...

The art style is really fitting, and you can really feel the pain through the pictures.
The manga makes me depressed tbh, but I think that makes it so perfect, you get lost in the story and hope for the best for all characters. I give it 10/10 you can feel every aspect of everyone. Because they do wrong you can imagine those people would exist in the real world too. I would say PunPunis is a manga for everyone who likes psychological drama mix with slice of life.
