I liked GetBackers because at the beginning of the series, I had no clue it was going to turn out the way it did and that's what makes it interesting to me. The storyline keeps you guessing for a while, and that's ultimately going to keep me watching more than sassy exchanges between characters, or more colorful outfits. Each character has their unique quirks, flaws, and emotional back-story...I really enjoyed this series!

I really liked this series, although I felt the ending came a little too abruptly. Shizuku grows over the episodes, as does Haru and the way they interact is really sweet - it's a love story, without being the typical "boy meets girl and they all live happily ever after". I really hope there is a special or second season, I'd love to find out what comes next.
Oh, and guys will like this series too, my husband thought it was pretty funny and he's really picky. |
