As a huge digimon adventure fan, I have to say that this is the best season of the sequel (excluding season 4 that haven't aired yet) compared to the earlier seasons of Digimon Adventure Tri. sequel.
The earlier seasons of the sequel felt like just a normal school day with some interference from digimons from the digital world. But in this season, serious trouble started to hit the kids and digimons.
