I have been watching anime since the mid-90's with anime's such as Dragonball, Tenchi, and Sailor Moon. In 2001, I really started watching a lot more anime when I gained access to more anime's via friends and the internet. For many years during college, I had anime just downloaded onto my computer, but after graduating from college and getting a job in 2009, I began buying all of the series I had downloaded and continue collecting almost 15 years later. I appreciate the hard work the artist, voice actors, and all of the staff has put into these series.
I love all types of anime: action, comedy, rom/com, sci-fi, mech, etc. I have not found many animes that I dislike. Many frown upon the way I watch anime: Dubbed. I love the English voice actors for most series. I also prefer dub because I tend to multitask a lot while watching anime and don't want to miss anything since I won't be constantly looking at the screen. On top of that, I think some voice actors are very talented; I am sure I would really appreciate the Japanese voice actors if I knew the language.
Overall, I would say 75% of my tv watching is likely anime simply because I like the artwork and the stories (for the most part).
