Aldnoah is extremely similar to Code Geass in the sense of plot and characters. While the conflicts differ, many of the politics and characters are parallel. Britannia can be compared to the newer equivalent of Vers as both have mechs (Knightmares and Cataphracts, respectively). They both have the upper hand over the underdog Japanese(Elevens) and Terrans/Earthlings. Lelouch and Inaho are brilliant young minds who fight against the oppresors in efforts to bring peace and political equality. At the same time, we have Suzaku and Slaine, who initally appear to be kind hearted and justified souls. Suzaku and Slaine are good people at heart but don't think realisitcally enough to benefit the world(s) and end up interfering with Lelouch and Inaho. The similarities are striking and even though there are plenty of major unique points to both anime, they will still generally give the same vibe.

Both of the following anime share similar themes and protagonists as well. Centering around the themes of power, money, and good vs. bad morals, we have two shows that display the trickeries that people can devise. Telomere from Vampire Bund is the equal to Inferno for Phantom Requiem and Mina aswell to some extent. They use any tricks they can and fool anybody they can in order to get what they want, no matter the cost. The protagonists, Akira and Zwei, respectively, are caught in between the worlds of the innocent and the evil and have to make rather difficult choices. Struggling between what they've been dragged into vs. protecting the people whom they care for conflict the protagonists greatly.

The correlation between these shows are unmistakeable. The premise of both anime starts off with 2 overpowered delinquents that happen to have a green haired cuties introduced into their lives, forever changing their personalities to be more on the warm hearted side vs. the scary bully side. Along with the similar ideas, the characters have a connection aswell. Oga and Seiji both are infamous delinquents with nicknames, Baby Be'el and Midori are both unaccepted at the start but later are accepted, Aoi and Takako- they have the wrong first impression with Oga and Seiji respectively, but they learn of the side of the boys that was caring and protective, causing them to start having crushes on the boys, and finally, Furuichi and Takamizawa, weirdos that like girls and fake girls respectively. All these factors sum up for 2 shows that were both enjoyable and extremely similar

I find these shows both similar not in the aspect of plot but in character. Both mains, Kousei from Your Lie in April, and Rei from March Comes in Like A Lion both share similar character as they have both had traumatic past life events. This prompts them to be somewhat timid and silent but have thoughts encircling their minds at all times. On top of that, they are both young prodigies in a competitive field (Piano and Shogi respectively). Finally, they share a somewhat similar appearance with glasses, messy black hair, and an always wavering mouth. Another thing noted is the animation. I find a large resemblance in the styles, especially on the character designs.
