This series is an absolute masterpiece and an insanely underrated one. Yugami-kun is one of my favorite mc's of all time and the characters that surround him are interesting, lovable, and overall well written. One of its great points is the comedy which is honestly top tier and the art goes great with it as well. Overall though, you won't truly understand how good it is until you read it as it's so incredibly unique above all else. There is no other character like Yugami Kun and its mix of sports with the slice of life and comedy and even tiny bits of romance is ... done perfectly. An unforgettable masterpiece. Read it now. Your lie in April evokes emotions I have not felt for some time. It's beautiful but ugly and has some of the highest highs and lowest lows I've ever seen in anime. It filled me up and then proceeded to break me down.

I was never a fan of classical music but this anime made it sound so powerful and breathtakingly beautiful with its amazing soundtrack. All the op's and ed's absolutely slap as well.
The visuals are also stunning with crisp animation and unforgettable scenes that just stick with you.
The story, although melodramatic at times ... considering they are literally 14, moves at a nice pace always leaving you wanting more, and the ending made me cry like a little bitch but completed it in a heartbreaking fashion.
Finally, the characters are excellent. Each one contains their own character arc going through their development each with their moment to shine and none that I didn't like which is unusual. I loved every character and therefore I loved the anime with it as the characters were such a huge driving factor.
Getting past the melodrama this is truly a special anime. Recommend it.

The best fucking show ever. Absolute masterpiece and that's on god. Got me bumpin both the opening and ending, got me crying, got me laughing, and most of all got me vibin. Brilliant show. I mean I've already rewatched the show 4 times and each time it makes me cry like a fucking baby. The writing is witty and funny, the main character aint a simp and just says what he wants to say. Every girl is best girl (Mai is just best best girl) The first arc on its own could be a movie for how great it is. Only problem is sometimes ... you got these fucking absurd CGI background characters making there way around which fucking kills me a little on the inside every time I see it but whatever. Yeah. Watch it. 10/10 best show.
