Certainly, the dub's Count is fantastic no doubt, but the sub seems much more well-rounded.

Gankutsuou is superb up until the last 2 episodes. The ending isn't terrible, but it is somewhat absurd and a little weak.

Gankutsuou needs to be watched subbed. The dub is pretty half-assed in many respects; the voices don't entirely match, they are somewhat irritating and there are segments in the sub version that were done in French which were done simply in English for the dub, losing some of the eloquence the series aims for.
