This is my first review, so bear with me, I am also new to anime in general, so pardon if my review is not couture enough to anyone.
Anyway, the story get's a 9: Mainly because the story was engaging enough, it showed the persona of a boy who is a fan of Light hearted melodies, whilst actually being the front man for a hardcore, brutal death metal band.
However, I found that the first two episodes were more a chore and seemed to drag on, not to mention misleading.
Art also get's a 9: Mainly because there are moments where I couldn't help but think "This seems
...
badly misconstructed" or "The background just didn't fit the purpose" whilst a lot of the scenes were like that, the purpose was fit, there were situations where it felt really was out of place.
Sound get's a 10: I have to say, I am not a huge death metal fan, but this anime actually felt good, despite my distaste for death metal, I enjoyed and actually wished I knew Japanese so I could sing along. The voices at the first episode happens to be very misleading, but those are just two voices at a small part of the episode.
Character happens to get a 9: I found the characters were all really great, well constructed, and didn't have too much backdrop to it, considering it's a 12 episode story and no one likes entire episodes just lazily constructed on past events (Example being: Deathnote episode 29) . However, I had to give this a 9 because the protagonist of this story just can't help being a whiny bitch, he doesn't seem to quit at one point and become the death metal god he is destined to be, he just lazily bitches, and moans.
The enjoyment get's a 10: I have to say, I don't laugh at a lot of "comedy" anime's, but this one is special, I couldn't help but laugh at the weird combinations that were beset when it came from persona to persona, but the constant swearing, and the weird antics of everyone, got fresher per episode (except the manager).
Overall, I give it a 10, despite the outweigh of 9 being 3:2, I just enjoyed it to a level that I didn't expect, at first I thought "Oh geez, this sure looks amateur" but later into it I realized the art and the fact that I was like that.
