This was one of those series that I had randomly happened to stumble upon on one of my days off. It just so happened to hook and reel me in so strongly that I started and finished all 24 episodes in one sitting -- with the obvious restroom and food breaks. That said, I have no regrets about those 10 hours of my life.
Although this series had the potential for a lot of overwhelming magic battles, a majority of the fights were fought through words and plot devices. I'm not really one for drawn out dialogues, but within this series, it was very well done
...
and kept me hooked. There were three consecutive episodes where the characters hadn't moved an inch, but I hadn't noticed -- and wouldn't have cared even if I did. I was at the edge of my seat until the end.
I really enjoyed the characters. I'm normally a freak for romance, but didn't even mind that there was no hint or suggestion of such until mid-series. The two main protagonists gave me a Nartuo x Sasuke feel, and the plot had set up for many instances where that rivalry could stir up -- but both were able to handle things maturely. Which I feel is pretty rare in anime, so that was pleasantly surprising.
The plot itself was fairly original. I enjoyed the way that by mid-series, I had trained myself to expect the unexpected. This led to my only anticipating a few key parts of the story, as opposed to having most plot "mysteries" figured out before they were revealed, per usual.

The artwork and music are well done, and help contribute to the spooky/dark/depressing atmosphere. But as far as characters go, arrogant, noisy, and overly-prideful main characters just aren't my cup of tea. With Shinsekai Yori, I just can't find any of the characters likeable. What has kept my attention is the plot. As someone who has not read the novel, I'm interested in finding out if the village has some sort of dark secret/if they're founded upon a lie.
All in all, it's passed my "three episode trial", and I will continue watching.

Seeing as only the first episode has been released, there's only so much I can say:
Synopsis aside, I was expecting something something light-hearted with a splash of moe, but I couldn't be more wrong.
The intro was done quite well. Granted, I have no idea what in the world is going on (though after watching a bit into the episode, you may begin to make connections), but I'm seeing a lot of death and destruction -- I'm hooked.
The OP song is average, as is the OP itself. Nothing special to me, but I'm don't feel forced to skip through it (though I probably will in
...
later episodes).
The art style is alright, I'm not too fond of it as of now. The main characters Kuga and Hibino seriously look like side-characters. I'm speaking strictly on their appearance. Utao and Aki stand out the most so far.
They had some nice scenes with tension built up, but Utao pretty much broke all tension with upskirts, and other random things. Not sure how much I'm feeling the whole robot thing, but the story seems interesting enough to keep me going for another few episodes (before I decide to drop it or not).

Infinite Stratos; Infinite Harem. My score is a little biased and 'bumped', due to the fact that I like the girls in his harem. I have no problem sitting here watching Charlotte Dunois doing perfectly nothing.
Story: 6
Anyhow, as far as the story goes, it's average. It's nothing too original, but it does stray from the customary harems. You have a world where girls have the power to control these mechas, and there's one special male who too is able to control them. ...The harem ensues. There hasn't been a real 'plot', it's your everyday 'school' life, and the comedy/'romance' surrounding. Each few episodes hold
...
their own little 'story'/'problem'.
Art: 9
It's definitely the work of a new Anime series; the art is great. Characters are well drawn, and the effects are spot-on too. Animation is smooth, and nothing looks cheesy or choppy. The OP is well done, though deceiving (the opening itself contains more action than the whole series so far), and the girls + Ichika are quite the beauties themselves.
Sound: 7
I'm not one to stick around to watch an OP or ED (though I may watch it once or twice if I like the song), so I can't make any judgment there. From the few seconds of what I do hear from ED though, it's not bad. I know I've sat through the OP at least once, and the song was good enough for me to not skip it instantly. The soundtrack is typical. Haven't heard anything super outstanding yet, and all the BG music sounds terribly cliche. For once there isn't a single character's voice who annoys me (well, still contemplating on the voice of Houki's sister), and the voices for all the characters seem to be suitable. Effects don't sound lame/incredibly fake, and it works for me.
Character: 7
There isn't much background stories given on any of the characters. It's all very vague, but I do like them. The characters follow the general harem archetype (tsunderes -- and a lot of them, quiet ones, intelligent ones, etc), but they don't follow it to an extreme; which is a relief. Ichika, the main character, is the lead male in a harem. Need I say more? We've all seen him before, the guy who tries hard and is extremely dense about the loving women around him. He is oblivious (to an extent) of the feelings of those around him, but I sure wish he would start some romance between himself and Charlotte! That being said, the characters remain pretty static, and the changes that do occur aren't really 'developed' -- they're pretty sudden. Regardless of a lack of character development, I've come to love most of them. ^^
Enjoyment: 8
I've been able to get some laughs here and there, and I'm a sucker for fan service. The women are beautiful, and there's quite a bit of fan service. Am I enjoying it? Hell to the yes. Episode 11, where I'm currently at, brings the humor to an end, and seriousness/drama kicks in. The fights are lame (to an extent), and the mid-battle conversations are expectantly cliche/stupid. Aside from that, IS: Infinite Stratos has maintained it's ability to satisfy my enjoyment levels.
Overall: 8
I wouldn't say it's a must watch, but I would recommend it if you're into harems and beautiful women. It's a love/hate thing. Don't watch this for the action, and don't watch this for something serious.

Calling Mitsudomoe a 'masterpiece' really doesn't seem... right. But for what it is, it's definitely a masterpiece. And just what is Mitsudome? It's your slice of life Anime; it follows the lives of 'ordinary' people while throwing real life situations (well, exaggerated ones at least..) at you. I can honestly say that I was kept laughing well through EACH and every episode.
Story? There's not much of a story. Though they do connect with each other slightly, each episode can be watched out of order, and it wouldn't take too long to catch on with what's going on. Seeing as it's a slice of life though,
...
I wouldn't take any regards to a story rating.
The art worked well for it's genre. The little round faces just made everything all the funnier, while the girls never failed to put on an expression that would send me literally 'LOL'ing at my computer screen.
Sounds? Well, it's catchy. I love the voice actors, if it counts for any. The OP songs are incredibly cute and catchy -- you wouldn't expect to watch what you're going to watch from watching the OP.
The characters are your stereotypical 'Tsundere', 'Airhead', and 'Silent' type girls. ...While the males are strung about perverse characteristics (+the one popular boy).
All this being said, Mitsudomoe is definitely high up on the enjoyment level. Whenever I'm in need for a laugh, Mitsudomoe is there for me. :')
