Contrary to many opinions, this movie is quite bad. Firstly, the whole background story about Akira itself is never explained, which causes alot of confusion during the movie. Then there is the static characters which just drag down the plot line, because you have no idea why or how they are connected to it. The movie itself contains very little action until towards the end, but even then it gives little satisfaction. In many ways this is like dragon ball but on a much lower scale then even that. So, if you are looking for a good movie with psychological stuff in it, seek elsewhere,

This is just another of those mangas that you either love or hate, as for me, im still on the fence. The story resolves around a girl named Fran, who is something of a reanimated corpse that lives in a mansion with a doctor(that is never seen) and performs bizzare surgeries and experiments on other people. Often she does this against that person's will. Most stories end badly for those who came to her seeking help. The artwork is alright, but nothin special. The story changes pretty much from chapter to chapter, and is often extremely gory and horrid, so if u hav a weak

The story starts out like most other fantasy animes, in something reminiscent of Eureka 7, but as the story progresses,see how the characters affect each other on such a deep emotional level, you'll see that this is not much of a sci-fi, mecha, kind of thing, but a romance and love anime that blows away all others....the ending was so very touching....i caught myself crying, which happens very little for me when watching anime, in fact, i think this is the first time i hav ever cried watching an anime....

This story isn't very original, but the character interactions are unlike any similar series. The art is typical, little above average. The idea of this story seems to incorporate a mix of Seto no Hanayome with Spice and Wolf, with a tidbit of others sneaked in as well. If you liked any of those series, you will defiantly love this series!
