I actually really like animation. A moving drawing will forever spark joy in my heart.

1.) I've watched all four seasons of AOTU World and I still don't know what that show is about.

2.) To the BL genre: you're trash, but you're my trash.


My own reference of how to understand MAL number scores and my equivalent score on the scale:
(0)4.0~ Abandon hope, all ye who enter here.
(3)5.0+ what even is this
(4)6.0+ is bad and approaching incompetent.
(5)6.4+ is a show with a problem. You were competent, maybe even close to being okay, but you seriously messed up somewhere and it soured the entire show. For some reason you usually finish these shows. They inspire a need in the viewer to meticulously detail the precise reasons why they suck.
(6)7.0 is a show that could've been more but just kind of... wasn't. Missed opportunities or the show had a problem. Maybe they had a cool premise but just didn't do anything with it. 75/25 drop ratio.
(7)7.2 is a bog standard competent anime. Doesn't really do anything special. Maybe one or two characters are good. 50/50 drop ratio for being boring.
(8)7.3-5 is a good-ish show. Maybe there's that one character who carries the entire show on their back or you just really like the ideas but maybe not the execution. 25/75 drop ratio. Still in potential drop territory but has good things going for it which might carry you to the end, but will result in lamentations about that one thing that needed to be different in order for this show to be so much better.
(9)7.6+ is a good show and personal enjoyment comes down to personal taste.
(10)8.0 is a great show no matter who you are. Really good. Definitely worth checking out.
(Special 10)8.3+ is a masterpiece. Delivers exactly what you wanted and is pretty much perfect. Really good and should be watched
(11)9.0+ MAL fans are botting and fighting over top anime leaderboard spots. This is a real thing. It is as pathetic as it sounds.

*If something is BL/BL adjacent, even if it doesn't even make sense to say that, add +1 to score due to artificial deflation.
**If something is a popular shounen, take -1 from score due to artificial inflation.
