It starts fairly interesting and intriguing, but the plot gets increasingly messy and cheap as it progresses. If you're older than 18, this will most probably let you down.
The anime is supposed to be a joke, and in the beginning they are pretty funny because they're unexpected. Once the element of surprise wears off, the sexual jokes and puns start to become very repetitive (and they do repeat some sex jokes more than once, sometimes in the same episode), mostly because they're not very witty nor accompanied by equally funny contexts. They're just thrown out for the sake of it. Ironically, they have no real
...
impact on the story or any of the scenes.
Perhaps if you understand Japanese fluently, with all its vulgar expressions and intricacies, or if sexual themes are still very novel and cheeky for you, then you'd enjoy the anime more.
There is surprisingly, and disappointingly, no reciprocal romance or sexual relations, not even implied, between any of the main characters, which to be fair may be due to it's limited length (12 episodes). The anime is at its most interesting when exploring the way sexually clueless students behave when they slowly find out about sex, but unfortunately this is almost never in focus (Anna's arc, for example, had potential for dealing with such a theme, but rapidly devolves into oversimplified nonsensical hornyness). After a few episodes, there's barely any engaging emotion involved in the stories. They instead chose to focus on a sort of goofy, mildly political "super-hero saves the day from today's bad guy" kind of story. Which I guess is the source material's sin and I should've known what I was getting, but still.
The show ends with the impression that there's supposed to be more. There's no real conclusion, no major issues solved, no "wrapping up". Important characters like Sophia and Fuwa get no resolution, or any form of address to the problems that defined them as characters in the story.
The latter, by the way, is easily the most enjoyable person in the anime. If there's ever a season 2, it should feature her as MC.

I hope season 4 is just Kazuya getting punched in the face by every single character every episode
A rental girlfriend who's become your friend (and who you love) has just lost the only loving family member she had. What do you do? Do you try to keep her company and make sure she is ok? Do you reach out to her and not let her be alone in this depressing moment?
Well, if you're Kazuya, you hire her... friend!?!?!? To spend the entire day alone with her in the beach (?!) enjoying yourself and contemplating what you should be doing right now for your aching, mourning
...
friend? And then instead of just knocking on your friend's door or even just sending a simple godamn text message you... rent her?!?!?!?
And then when she finally reveals her true feelings and cries like a sobbing little girl on your chest you... don't hug her!?!?!? You just stand there like a lamp-post!??!?!? Jesus Christ Siddhartha Gautama... by Allah....
This was supposed to be a lighthearted 'rom-com' shonen anime. If it's now going to be filled with so much unfunny drama and try to be deep, at least don't make it so ridiculous.
6/10 since it was fine until about episode 8 and I liked the new girl
we can now get rid of Sumi(masen)-chan

This anime is a guilty pleasure, the TV equivalent of junk food. It has a target audience and it is not supposed to have its story taken too seriously (for what it's worth, the non-comical elements of the story for the most part suck).
But the funny bits, if you can relate to it, had me laughing like a relaxed retard; which is all I want, really, at the end of a long day just before I go to sleep.
Chizuru's story-arc is quite honestly boring and seeing Kazuya simp so emotionally hard for her is very cringe. Thankfully, Mami's misterious plot and Ruka's messy and funny
...
interminglings in Kazuya's and Chizuru's relationship makes it all interesting and fun enough to bear the forced cringy drama. Which is OK, if one is not too stupid to watch it for the drama.
8/10 mostly because it made me laugh, and because I'm in love with the combination of the intro song and choreography animation. Very cute. A shame they dropped it in season 3.

If you enjoy the anime for the family dynamics, which is arguably the main "catch" for the series, the film will fall short.
The art and technical aspects of the film are all good; the production is noticeably higher than that of the anime series.
But certain plot elements are ridiculous to a degree even the TV chapters do not dare go.
The main characters' powers are too convenient and overexaggerated in the movie to a point it's difficult to hold the same suspension of disbelief that the TV series managed to create.
The plot sadly does not revolve around each character's unique traits and secrets (super spy, professional
...
assassin, telepathy), it just uses these traits for gags and plot convenience. Yor's final battle is cool, but adds nothing to the story. Loid wasn't on any particular secret mission, he just so happened to be in the right place and right time where WISE would then learn he was needed. They had to use the dog (mr. Bond) to make Anya advance two of the three most significant plot points (both very similar- Anya reads dog's mind, acts on it, and gets in trouble).
The other plot point, the most natural and convincing if you follow the series (baking a cake for the principal) and which initially puts the story into motion, seems abandoned and pointless by the end of the movie.
Had the story focused on this one element, instead of derailing into a stupid and random sudden military adventure, perhaps it would've made for a good film.
