If there's one anime that I'm greatly disappointed with this season, it would have to be Imouto sae Ireba Ii.
This show started out with a lot of potentials. The premise, the characters, the art, the music was all great or at least it felt that way in the beginning. The biggest factor that could've changed this from a mediocre anime to a fantastic one is the character development and the story. Right in the beginning, it's made clear that the characters all have personalities but as the story progresses it feels like the author just kinda forgot ... or just didn't care about the characters. The pacing was really weird considering that episode 4 was pretty much a filler. The character development is pretty much nonexistent (as of now). It doesn't seem like there's much room for redemption at this point since the show kinda fucked up hard.
Please do not compare this show to ero manga sensei considering that this show had a lot more potential while ero manga sensei. It's sad to see such a wonderful cast of characters to not do anything except tug at my dick for a whole season. If the author's planning to sell their light novel with this adaption, all their gonna get are horny 13-year-olds rather than actual passionate readers.

I will edit this review later on but this is just some of my thoughts on how this series has been so far

To me the first couple episode of Gamers seemed like it would be interesting and more towards actually gamers and gaming but as this series progresses it's as if they've completely forgot about the name of the series and just turned into pointless drama and confusion.

The confusion and needless drama between the main cast is ... what really broke the series so far for me. Noone knows what's actually going on and even if they are concerned about a misunderstanding that could easily be cleared up with words they just don't even bother to clear it up. It's honestly so frustrating to the point that you just pray every week that the confusion gets cleared up somehow. But it doesn't IT JUST F**k**G continues and even gets worse when they throw in another character. You'd think oh it's fine it looks like misunderstandings are ending in episode 8 but as sooooon as episode 9 roles in oh boy, u guessed wrong.

For the actual "Gamers" theme, Just a little bit of it is provided in each episode. It's mostly used to set up the plot, this and this happened because of games. That's it

Also i need to mention one thing and that is the filler episode (episode 4). They released it after the cliffhanger of episode 3 so I'm not at all sure why they did it. That episode had nothing important (so far) to the "plot" of the story. It was cute seeing the MC and the heroine together but it only leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth instead of being happy that they are spending time with each other. I wouldn't call it pointless character development but badly placed character development

As the series progresses you can see that the writer is clearly out of creative juices. If he messes up on one or 2 episodes then it's fine but so far it seems like this series is a goner. Not likely that you can save a series this f*cked when you only have 3 episodes left.

As much as i'd like to like this series, i just can't. It had potential. HAD is the key word. 3/10 uehara faces

Oh boy oh boy oh boy, If you guys love the whole haiyore Nyaruko-san series I'm sure you'll love this one the most. I'm already getting all giddy up when i think about this episode. This review might be a tiny bit messy but stick with me here guys.
I've always viewed OVA's as not important and a filler so I've stopped watching OVA's after a while. THANK GOD i picked the right one this time because it left me completely stunned ... and satisfied . I never expected that an episode like this would happen. It has everything packed into it with an extra ammount of romance for you mahiro and nyaruko shippers out there :D . I won't write about the story line since i'm sure you guys would like to watch it for yourselves. What i love about this episode so much is how in pretty much all the episodes in the 2 past seasons it never felt like they were in too much trouble but this one really showed how screwed they were. Which made me feel worried about the characters and really questioning to myself how this was gonna be resolved. You'd think like oh the past seasons they've always been saved by hilariously ridiculous reasons but this one was different. The ending was fantastic for me, i just wish i could give the author a hug and a kiss right now ( Yes I'm a boy and I'm straight as a pole). I do not wish for another season but maybe this OVA could've be an hour or have another OVA that is 25 minutes. This episode was towards the ending of the light novel so another OVA would wrap this whole series up quite nicely.
I love every single tiny bit of this series even though it does have it's cons. This is a series that will stick to my heart forever. Anyone could tell me about how bad this series is and i wouldn't give a damn and still have the same opinion. The author gave us the best handjob anyone could give with this OVA. I will give the good sir a piggy back ride if he needs it. I'm looking forward to watching this anime AGAIN in the future since there were so many references i'm pretty sure I haven't caught them all. Hands down i would recommend the series and especially this episode to anyone especially if they find references and parodies hilarious.
