This season builds upon the previous season and actually expands upon the characters and show them having depth...problem is this doesn't happen until the last 3 or so episodes.
The last 4-5 episodes were good and I would rate this show higher if that was the main premise. I wish they would cut down on the tournament fights (didn't really care and skipped some of the fights) and focus on what happens after for the majority. The first half (maybe a bit more) drags pretty hard. Honestly just skip to episode 6 and continue you won't miss much.
Anyways, animation and music were really good.

This show is pretty bad, which sucks because I wanted to like this show. At first it seems like it could be pretty good, the cast is interesting and the soundtrack is really good (top 5 in my opinion). The problem is the story is very bland and doesn't go anywhere. The MC is so OP there is no suspense or anything; he is never even challenged in the show. This show is the definition of average. It's full of clichés and you've probably seen so many different types of work (not even necessarily anime) exactly like this. Seriously. This show is nothing new and follows a very standard plot with standard tropes (fanservice, way too overpowered MC, etc.).
That being said it was still enjoyable. I enjoyed seeing the progression between the MC and his love interest. So anyone who likes romance would probably like this.
