In this world, we often have to question ourselves "Is this TRULY the right thing to do?" What is right or wrong, who makes those rules?
In Shinsekai Yori, five kids will try to seek the truth of their Utopian community.
Story: Shinsekai Yori's strong point is the strong and powerful plot that keeps growing after each episode. The first few episodes you watch will give you the impression that the show is only about the adolescence of 5 kids. Before you know it, a more serious and dark plot will start to unveil itself as you watch. Without a doubt, Shinsekai Yori's intriguing and unique
...
plot deserves a lot of praise and will surprise you along the way.
Art: The first few episodes will have pretty normal art, one that isn't exactly bad yet not extremely beautiful either. I do remember however, there was one episode where the art was completely messed up. Other than that, in my opinion, as the story went on, the art changed. For better or for worse, I think that it really matched the mood and setting of the story.
Sound: Shinsekai Yori never really had a real opening, but it's first ending was extremely well done. In fact, it was one of my favorite song of Fall 2012 anime songs. The second ending was not bad as well, but just not as good as the first one. There was one OST that played throughout the beginning of the episodes that I really liked. It gave a kinda creepy mood and matched the story.
Character: Saki's character development throughout the show was amazing. Slowly discovering the truth of the world and adapting to it. I thought her character was well portrayed. Each and every character had an important role that they played in the story. Yakomaru aka "Squealer", was a significant character as well. Without revealing too much, I'll say that his character is much more than who you'll think he is.
Enjoyment: This easily became my favorite anime of Fall 2012. The surprises, the heartbreaking moments, and the final truth all contribute to make what this anime is. I would look forward to watching this every week. I truly amazing anime in my eyes.
Overall: What more do I need to say? The truth that lies within this story will be one that not only chills you to the bone, but will also cause you to question yourself the truth of this world. This is the story of 5 kids "From the New World".

Sasami-san, is truly an underrated anime, in my opinion that is. I think Sasami-san is a... unique anime. Like the saying goes, "don't judge a book by its cover", Sasami-san's first episode might leave you with mixed emotions.
Story:
Sasami-san is not what it really seems when you first watch it. Eventually, you'll see the events that happen each have a deeper meaning than what you first think of it. It's plot is indeed strange, yet intriguing. A lot of what happens also has to do with Japanese mythology. Depending on how well you know Japan's history (or maybe the amount of anime you watch), this show
...
may or may not be your cup of tea.
Art:
Honestly, I think Sasami-san's art is a bit strange...I haven't read the manga (or novel...whichever one was adapted) so I don't know if this is how the author intended the art to be. Despite this though, I do think that the art matches Sasami-san quite well. It might be because of its strange plot that the art matches it.
Sound:
Sasami-san's opening is one of my favorites of Winter 2013. As for the ending, I've never actually heard a legit version without people talking in the background so...can't really rate that. The seiyuu that plays Sasami does a pretty good job. I think it matches her really well.
Character:
In here, I'd say there are basically 5 main characters. First off, there's Sasami. I think her character development throughout the story is actually quite interesting to watch. She goes though many series of events that eventually builds up on her character. Then, there's her brother, Onii-chan. (That is what I will be referring him to as since that what's he's most commonly called on during the show). His character is quite plain. Most the time you'll only see him shouting out his love to Sasami. But there is the mystery of why he hides his face. Lastly, there is the Yagami sisters. Known as the "gods" they show somewhat of a character development throughout the show. I'd say the youngest of the 3, Tamma, has the least character development, as of now.
Enjoyment:
I won't lie. I wanted to drop Sasami-san after the first episode. But I decided to give it a few more chances. And for some reason, every week, I started looking forward to watching it. Maybe it was the weird plot that drew me, or maybe it was just simply because I'M weird, but I found that as I watched, I liked Sasami-san more and more.
Overall:
Overall, Sasami-san shows lots of promise, but it probably started off on the wrong foot for most people. If your bored, this anime should keep you entertained. Now, once again, I shall repeat "Don't judge a book by its cover!"

First off, let me just say, MAN was this manga a FIND. The first time I read the summary saying there were "assassins" and and a pretty girl, I thought to myself, must be a lame weak MC. I have never been more wrong in my life before.
Story: So, like I stated above, the story is about a boy meeting a pretty girl, assassins come to the family, end up recruiting the guy. What I didn't expect was for this manga to be so gruesome and bloody. I'm telling you, the mangaka gives many surprises and...let me just say, ANYBODY can die in here.

Our childhood is often filled with many blanks and not much memories. The few you might remember are some friends you made or games you played.
But, what if the memories you remember most vividly were the ones filled with bullying, ignorance, and broken hearts?
Kotoura-san starts off as a seemingly sad and powerful drama. Maybe a bit generic. What throws people off is that after the first half of the show, it just hits you with all this comedy that you weren't expecting. This is probably what caused the downfall of the show. I can't say I exactly disliked the comedy, but it would've been better
...
if the producer had focused a bit more on the drama. Still, there were some good comedy moments, and the drama was well played.
The art is nice and fits the mood of the story. It is a bit generic, but if you're a fan of moe, then the artwork might be something for you. There sad and happy moments of the story are portrayed pretty nicely, the coloring and shading helped the mood.
Character development has its sweet and heat breaking moments. From Kotoura starting to learn to trust her friends and deal with yet, more bullying, to Moritani learning to deal with jealousy, it was pretty nice to watch. And so...friendship is building up between Moritani and the rest of the ESP Research Club. One thing that did kinda bug me was that the relationship between Kotoura and her mom was not really in depth. It seemed like they introduced her in the beginning and just decided to put her off for a while.
Overall, the drama mixed with comedy makes this show pretty enjoyable. (Manabe having pervy dreams of Kotoura really makes this worth watching lol) Of course, I'd love to see Kotoura overcome more challenges as well. This show left me with mixed feelings. There were some moments I really enjoyed, yet some I felt kinda bored with. Nonetheless, I still think the drama part of the show displayed some pretty valuable lessons.
It seems the biggest problem the show is having is the transition from hardcore drama to just plain comedy. I don't find this much of a problem since I think a show that's too serious is just plain boring. I recommend that if you're expecting Kotoura-san to just be a really good drama, then it's best you don't watch it. Of course, this is just my opinion.

Your first thought may be "Why a nine for a video game reverse harem adaption?" Many of these are often rated pretty harshly one being that the heroine never ends up with any of the guys. Not that this one does, but there are many aspects of this show that makes it different.
Story: I guess you can say the story has some unique aspects to it. Magical violin didn't appeal to me very much in the beginning but as the it went on, the story started to slowly develop more potential around this "magical" violin. I can't really say much more without spoiling the story..so
...
overall, I thought the story/plot was pretty intriguing.
Art: Hmmm..art is something important when I watch an anime. Kiniro's art was nice and the scenes where the characters played their instruments were nice to watch. Of course, there were nice scenes with romance in it too.
Sound: The music in this series were what amazed me the most. Every piece of music has its own meaning and touch to it. The opening of the show was a very nice piece especially. You'll see throughout the story, there will be many different pieces of music, so of which, you might recognize (if you listen and play music often).
Character: Character development was okay to me. You'll see the main heroine grow and change throughout the story with the help of Lili (fairy) and all the guys around her.
Enjoyment: Overall, I enjoyed this show a lot. Also, as a music lover it was pretty fun to watch. I have to say the ending disappointed me a bit since the heroine didn't end up with anyone, but I guess that's just how it goes.

Well, where should I start? Imo, this is one of the most enjoyable anime I've watched. Let me first say that you DO NOT need to know about mahjong to watch this. The anime actually does a good job in making it fun to watch even if you don't know how exactly the game works. If it were the manga you were reading that might be a different idea, but the anime is pretty simple. Other than the mahjong element, it is a very moe anime :) You get to know a lot of characters and of course you'll have your favorites. (mine was Takei
...
Hisa :3) I just felt that this anime caught my attention very easily because of the way the animators make it so intense. You just get really caught up in the moment. The only thing I didn't like was the yuri. But its not like its really a main point, so it didn't bother me that much. With that said, I think you will very much enjoy this anime.
