¨His Scornful Eyes Are the Best" is suited as a casual read at best, an easily forgettable leisure time waster for most. For those who are willing to forgive its shortcomings and averageness, it is alright.

It's sweet fluff with, of course, the masochistic edge. The good ol' oblivious girl and bad boy! Uta is a dense girl but more in a blunt way. Kei (our ¨bad boy¨) is actually nice, he just has a bad mouth. It's amazing... how they tolerate each other.
