"Made in Abyss" follows Riko, a young girl aspiring to be a cave raider like her missing mother, as she teams up with Reg, a humanoid robot, to explore the enigmatic depths of the Abyss in search of answers. Their journey is fraught with peril, revealing the mysteries and dangers lurking within the Abyss as they strive to uncover its secrets.
Before starting to debunk this series into more detailed sanctions – for me personally this was a traumatic anime and not because of the gore and the violence but rather because this violence was depicted on a too small of a children, being drawn even
...
younger than they actually are. And this is the reason I have very mixed feelings about this series. The story – good and very enjoyable, the violence over small children – not very good taste.
With that being said lets us dive deeper into sectioning the series.
Story 9/10
Like mentioned – I have enjoyed the story a lot. This is one of the few good dungeons type of animes where we actually have the dungeon as a living breathing thing that hides a lot of mysteries, different creatures and dangers and doesn’t lack a good adventure. The storyline is well driven by Riko and Reg and their different but not so much (as it turs out) wishes to get to the bottom of the abyss. Back stories are well shown as pieces instead of annoyance and are more to show off the characters more depth than to distract from the actual series and the point of it all.
Characters 5/10
My main reason to have my mixed feelings are the characters. Riko is very annoying and always manages to get herself in the very deep sh*t. But despite of that she seems intelligent and is being able pull things together and continue the journey. With all that being said – in no way she is shown, her actions and her overall behavior she is a 12-year-old. Either that or 12-year-old have become very reasonable and strong human beings. With the fact that the series tries to put more mature view on everything, even the most mature 12-year-old would not have that much intelligence having in mind that Riko doesn’t really have any good knowledge of any good education at all.
The over use of child molests and abuse in this series is a bit over the top and doesn’t really help for character development. The one thing that drives those children is suffering and abuse which with different children will have different effects but rather if you look more into the characters, it has one the same effects and the same background story kind of repeats but in a different tone for them.
Art 8/10
The art of the series is rather enjoyable, the only eyesore is the fact that a 12-year-old is 1/3 of a normal adult which is very off scale and makes the visual of the children even more questionable. While with less adults in sight it feels fine. The shadowing in this anime is extremely well-made and compliments the whole vibe very well. This shows that you can have colours and colourfull scenes but with a bit more shadows on the right places you can still deliver the overall vibe of the series.
Enjoyment 6/10
While being torn off by the fact that the storyline is interesting and the fact that those are small children being abused every almost second through the anime my enjoyment level defiantly went down. This is by far not the goriest not violent anime I have seen, but maybe as a personal opinion I am not that interested in child abuse on such levels.
Overall 8/10
Still with al of that in mind the storyline is interesting and the mystery behind the Abyss itself is also worth the while. The anime doesn’t lack good adventure and doesn’t lack a very good style of art and presentation.

In "Sword of the Stranger," a lone ronin, Nanashi, finds himself drawn into a perilous journey when he agrees to protect a young boy named Kotarou pursued by mysterious enemies. As their bond deepens amidst breathtaking sword fights and intricate plots, they must confront their pasts and fight for their futures in a stunning tale of honor and sacrifice.
Or one of those movies are forgotten gold.
Story 8/10
The storyline has a good flow and strong structure. It follows both characters in a good manner and helps understand them and get to know them well despite the short period of a hour and a
...
half. The background scene is just enough to hint and show what the characters have been through up until now without being a nonsense and without being stuck too much at one place, where the plot eventually tries to pull both characters to the future instead of their past.
Though, I do have to say that the main plot – the sacrifice ritual doesn’t give much interesting information and doesn’t help much with understanding what drives the opposing force in this anime. While on the surface it seems more like a maniacal wish it is never really clearly shown what would or could happen if they succeeded.
The plot itself is more focused on the bond between Nanashi and Kotarou instead on the reasons like “Why is this coming from?”, on this note you would need a better knowledge on Japanese-Chinese history and relationship to kind of understand where this is coming-going.
Characters 8/10
Nanashi and Kotarou are very typical characters. One is a lone samurai, who has done something wrong in the past and is trying to redeem himself, the other – a fisty kid with lots of opinions that doesn’t take “No” for an answer. While normally I would find characters like Kotarou annoying and not very pleasant, the kid was well written and even tho he was shown as smart for his age, he was still naïve and a kid, which makes the character more real and reliable. He finds himself looking at Nanashi as a father or big brother figure and softens a lot.
Tobimaru was there just to be part of key plot points and to drive the plot at some points. While being a loyal companion and listed as Main Character there isn’t much to this dog as while it seems trained it was still show more realistically – as a normal dog that can even die.
Luo Lang was rather strange villain with no actual resolve on his hand than just trying to find a person worthy of his sword skills and a good rival. He doesn’t care about outorityy and would rather kills his mates in order to be able to battle with the best swordsman he has encountered. Personally, I found the Chinese used by his character and his comrads rather laughable. The voice actors weren’t good at Chinese and it was way too obvious. In case like this it would just be more appropriate to go with your own language and not try to add random 5 lines of bad Chinese in there, it just takes off of the enjoyment.
Sound 9/10
If we take off the bad Chinese at times the overall voice acting was very good. Sound effects were presented exactly on point and were very well made. The background tracks go well with the scenes and don’t distract.
Art 10/10
This is where this show just wins. The art and especially the battle scenes are way ahead of 2007 and are just a delight to watch, they themselves are worth watching even if you didn’t like the plot. The anime doesn’t lack blood and violence but in very well measured matter and this adds very well to the overall feeling of it.
Enjoyment 10/10
This movie is pure enjoyment if you like samurai themed series. Considering the fact that it’s also a movie with very good visual for its years and not a 24 long series that can have more than one flaw.
Overall 9/10
On the matter if this should be considered a classical movie – While this is an extremely good movie it’s just doesn’t have a ground for it to be a classic. This doesn’t set any new stones nor does it show something new and unseen before 2007. The overall vibe of this movie is very Dororo-like but in a more non-fantasy style. The characters themselves, like mentioned, aren’t something new, not milestone worth mentioning. Nevertheless, this movie is very well made and has extremely good visuals without the us of ugly 3D in place of good animation.

"Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete" follows a young teenage girl who finds herself in a thight situation when a magical cat offers her to be one of her favorite heroes - a magical girl, but intead she is selected to be one of the villains of those girls and constantly have to battle them. Little does she know she will start finding enjoyment in torturing them and stripping them naked on the street.
My only question for this is – Why?
Why is like this? Why are so many people happing it? Why is it so plotless? Why is it so ugly in 2024? And why is
...
this one of the few animes that I have rated so low?
In recent years Hentai is literary moving its way to main stream anime and this is just disturbing. I normally don’t like being negative and even if I don’t like something I want to look into objectively but this anime has literally no actual storyline.
Story 2/10
Just non-existent. The story revolves around a good magical girsl and bad magical girls and the idea behind both fractions existing is just for the other to be there, no actual point to it. The only point is to see magical girls naked and using BDSM on each other. And while these kinds of things are just normal for hentais, what baffles me is that this is trying to be a non-hentai anime. If would just be better if it went all the way and had the hentai tittle, it would just make more sense and be more interesting.
Not to mention that if this is trying to be funny in any kind of way – it just slacks.
Characters 5/10
Just high school girls, they aren’t outstanding in any way nor are they original. Thay aren’t bad but they aren’t memorable.
The background stories they have are rather just boring and not really that worth mentioning.
The pure fact that they are 14 doesn't help the series more.
Sound – Just annoying. I am not the type that would like this kind of songs and would actually rate it if the whole vibe of the anime wasn’t so off-putting.
Art 2/10
While the lines are clear and the costumes while questionable aren’t bad there are of things that aren’t right, especially face wise – the eyes are most of the times misplaced and make them just stupid and badly drawn. The movements are overall quite stiff and not well animated.
Enjoyment – 3/10
Well, the only enjoyment from this is just to watch how poorly it’s made really.
Overall – 2/10
Overall, this is a hentai hidden behind a censor and released as Ecchi. As far as the manga goes – this anime is just very poorly executed and very shallow.
Animes to tend to have very low accuracy when it comes to other cultures or depict some things that aren’t that big part of the Japanese culture very weirdly. In this case the show in BDSM is just atrocious and puts a bad taste in your mouth when you watch it. The presentation of kinks is not easy and needs more research and none has been made here.
All in all, find yourself an actual hentai instead of this, at least there if the plot is poor, you might not be wasting your time to actually try to catch any type of plot because you would know what you went there for.

"Tensei Kenja no Isekai Life: Dai-2 no Shokugyou wo Ete, Sekai Saikyou ni Narimashita" follows the story of a reincarnated sage who gains a second chance at life in a fantasy world and embarks on a journey to attain the ultimate strength and power. Through his newfound abilities and experiences, he strives to become the strongest being in the world.
I would define My Isekai Life as a chill anime with an easy-to-follow storyline and more relaxed approach but it doesn’t lack bumps on the round and fights. Considering this has more “Not Recommended” reviews than it deserves – you need to go into this anime
...
with a certain expectation and that is – it won’t deliver bloodsheds and it won’t deliver some crazy protagonist who wishes to rain over everyone just for the sake of it.
Story 8/10
The storyline of this anime is easy to follow and easy-going all together. The writing doesn’t create any unnecessary and overcomplicated reasons and basis but rather a more simplified logic which put with the personality of the main character fits the vibe good. Still the protagonist has his ambitions and the storyline pushes him towards that goal but compared to the more recent isekai animes this lacks any over the top violence which is not always needed to tell a story.
Characters 7/10
To be honest, I very much prefer the main character’s personality compared to more recent isekai’s where vengeance is the top world priority. With this more chill and relaxed approach Yuuji accomplishes more than any of those characters. He doesn’t lack good logic and doesn’t lack good judgment. As far as character development goes for him – the series is more focused on reveling his character instead of having a major development as the series is more focused on the fact that he already had acquired the needed characteristics and, in this sense, I find it more refreshing than to push a vengeance narrative down the through of the viewer.
What it could be wished for more here would be a little more depth to the side characters as they do seem blunt and just in there on quite a lot of occasions.
Sound 8/10
The voice acting is on a very good level, sound effect wise the anime delivers as well.
The opening is enjoyable, the ending while a bit annoying is customized to the anime, which is always something good.
Art 6/10
The art of this anime is not the most top-notch animation but it’s not an eyesore either, it is somewhat on a more mediocre level and there are quite visible mistakes when it comes to the fighting scenes. The choice of color and vibe are up to the save here and are very well depicted.
Enjoyment 10/10
Personally, I have enjoyed this anime to the max. This was a breath of fresh air when it comes to isekai animes – no stupid and OP MC, no unnecessary violence just to make it more appealing to some people, no anger and vengeance issues on the character side. If you are looking for a more chilled back anime – this one is definitely for you.
Overall 8/10
While this anime may lack a bit in the animation aspect, the enjoyment of it and the more relaxed storytelling, filled never the less with lots of magic and tricks, give it a very interesting appealing. I would recommend this to people who wish to sit back and enjoy something more light-hearted and clear their head a bit. However, if you are expecting something crazy – definitely skip this.

"Danmachi Season 2" follows Bell Cranel and his companions as they continue their adventures in the dungeon, facing new challenges and enemies while deepening their bonds. As they strive to become stronger, they uncover secrets about their world and confront powerful adversaries in exhilarating battles.
/Review is based only on the anime and not the manga/novels!/
I am someone who likes to wait a very long time for something to come out and then binge watch the series instead of watching it and then wait. To say the least compared to the first season Danmachi II was a good low blow for me. Trought out the whole
...
12 episodes we have good girl picking all right but almost 0 dungeon, the whole “Adventure type” went out of the window as there is zero to no actual adventures in this season but rather obstacles, the opening presentation also doesn’t help this anime as the whole opening contains more dungeon scenes than the 12 episodes into one.
Story 7/10
So given my opening line you could wander why I am giving the story such a high score. The only reason – I liked the story around Haruhime but everything else was just total – meh. If the story is looked without the idea of having a dungeon in there, it wasn’t that bad of a story. The wavering of Bell between the idea of starting a new war between familias and wanting to save Haruhime and acting alone with Mikoto was a good take and we get to see more of the other supporting characters and one of the more interesting ones in my opinion. Lili also gets to have her past involved again and gets a good resolvent from the ordeal. And the finally moving pieces towards and actual familia and not just two people army was also a good drive.
Characters 5/10
Hestia and Bell take all of the points out for this category. They literally are stuck in one and the same place as the first season. Bell continues to waver between choices too much, his character seems too weak to be main protagonist, everyone and everything helps him and he just never seems to get much growth.
Mikoto is an interesting character and she just doesn’t het the development she deserves.
Haruhime was not a bad character, considering her ordeal and what she went through she wasn’t portraited badly. However, I think that the conclusion that she wasn’t actually a prostitute even tho this was a point that drove so much of the plot ruined her character entirely and made her she a weak meddling and that doesn’t know and hasn’t lived at all. Something about making all those characters virgins and pure just because they are around Bell is very off putting and too childish, considering the audience.
Apolo/Tod woman were the most annoying things ever which for me speaks a good written character because they can actually drive some kind of a plot around them and will spark some kind of emotion when watching.
Freya/Ishtar – they felt too similar. Ishat looks like a downgraded version of Freya and this did not server her justice as Ishtar as an ancient goddess is described as complexed and with variety of character, along with this Ishtar along with being the goddess of sensuality was said to hold strong sense od protecting humans. Which brings me to my previous Danmachi review – the surface is barely touched. Personally, I thin it is better to just come out with original names if you are not going to use any actual references from the figures those names belong to, it’s just laze and tasteless.
Sound 6/10
Like the first season – nothing memorable and just right to the anime.
Art 6/10
Given the year it’s not bad but it’s not the best out there, again as the first season not an eyesore at least.
Enjoyment 5/10
As I really did expect more dungeon and adventure my enjoyment level far quite low for this one as we deal with too much other business. The last 2 episodes were also quite boring, while Bell, Hestia and Ais were in the village. Not to mention I do believe that Ais is way better match for Bell and the “Love” between Hestia and Bell seems way too pushed and unnecessary in those 2 episodes.
Overall 6/10
Just disappointing on the basis what you would expect. No dungeon, no development for Bell more than just a few decisions that were made like they are something super hard and important but rather faded into the nothingness after that. I do like the first season more than this one and the idea was better executed there. If I waited 4 years for this I would just have dropped it on the first few episodes regrettably.

DanMachi is an adventurous type of anime,. Following Bell Cranel, who dreams of becoming a great adventurer and catching the attention of the beautiful and powerful swordswoman - Ais Wallenstein. As he embarks on his journey, he encounters various challenges, monsters, and fellow adventurers, all while uncovering the secrets of the Dungeon and his own latent abilities. The series blends elements of fantasy, adventure, and romance, offering a captivating tale of growth, friendship, and the pursuit of dreams in a fantastical world filled with danger and wonder.
/Review is based only on the anime and not the manga/novels!/
Danmachi is one of those animes that either
...
you want and don’t want you should watch. As afr as the genre goes nowdays there are a lot of animes like this one however this is a great foundation anime.
Story 7/10
This first seasons contains good starting and driving points for the anime. The pace is stable and will not bore you with 24 episodes surrounding one and the same thing and there is quite a lot of the dungeon involved in this part. The anime has quite good ideas, especially of Bell’s past and upbringing, which regrettably aren’t that touched through the anime and the events are pretty much controlled by Freya.
Characters 5/10
The characters themselves however aren’t something much, all representing pretty basic characteristics. From the typical white-haired boy with OP powers, through the silly and kind goddess, the manipulative non-villain villain, the older guys with big sword acting as a big brother and the loud chibi. All in all the characters aren’t that impressive and don’t go through massive character development except Lilli.
Bell as main seems to grow however the overall feeling he gives is just being stuck and one point in time and place and while his powers grow, his character isn’t much of something.
Hestia remains Hestia all the way. Given she is based on the Greek goddess of home, part of the Twelve Olympians (Zeus, Poseidon, Hera, Demeter, Aphrodite, Athena, Artemis, Apollo, Ares, Hephaestus, Hermes, and either Hestia or Dionysus) her character is a bit disappointing. Animes like to adopt other cultures and use already existing names and concepts however most times they adapt only the shallowest emotions and chrematistics.
As Hestia the other Gods also are a bit confusing as far as their reference goes.
Sound 6/10
The music in this anime is pretty on the standard level, nothing worth mentioning and the opening/ending songs are memorable however they are stable and just in unison with the whole anime vibe which is good.
Art and Character Design 8/10
The art is solid for the 2015 and is not in no way an eyesore, most characters are truly beautifully drawn, my greatest disappointment is again the MC – way too plain, if it wasn’t the good contrast between his hair and eyes (making him look like an albino rabbit) he would be the most unmemorable character ever.
Enjoyment 7/10
Personally, I was neither bored nor extremely impressed, fan service scenes were off putting as they are too much in your face and were trying to be funny which just – meh. But the fights weren’t bad and mostly the reason I watched it.
Overall 7/10
Overall this is a not an outstanding anime but never the less I think it is worth watching, especially if you like Adventure type of animes.
