Hey there, it's been a while :) How's it been, life treating you okay?
As for me, I've been living the college life and well, kinda have some mixed feelings about it. For the most part, I genuinely like my campus and I've met good people over there as well. It's relatively smaller campus than to those of what my friends go to--sometimes i feel a little bit envious of them--but I appreciate everything else around here too. I guess it's because I'm in a new atmosphere than what I'm typically used to and with the new and different people that I feel... hmm, what's the right word?... Empty? Like the things that were driving my motivations up until recently have faltered and now I feel stuck. Ah, I'm doing alright with my classes. Then again, that's what been bothering me as well; it almost feels like I've been scraping by even though I know I can do better. Though, I will admit that you were right, life does feel better after high school. On the bright side, I have plenty of more time to watch anime (is that actually a bad thing?Maybe haha).
This must be a side effect of growing into independence. I just lack the discipline for it. I have to try harder with what's left of the semester and with the next couple of years. The struggle is real lol. Well, that's the brief summary of what's been going on with me.
On a side note, in a very, very late response the last post. The accident wasn't too bad. The car was wrecked but besides that everything was okay. Thanks for the support :D
Wow, school talk is depressing, let's move onto something else. You're working now right? How's that been? I don't check social media stuff too often so I'm not up to date with things. I've also been considering finding some work to help pay for tuition and emergencies but I'm not sure on how to start. It must be because I am barely out of high school and slowing learning the ropes of the "real" world, but I think that the things you --and by extension a lot of other people--do are pretty amazing. I found myself a lot more admiration for things like that. Hope things are still looking optimistic on your end and maybe I'll talk to you soon.
Ah gee :) I'm glad that I was able to help you out then. With everything that's been going on, it's good to see that you found a break. I can't say that I call a car accident a good kind of break, but hey it looks like it was for the better I guess. On a side note, I just got into a car accident about a week ago when I was out with my friends (other than some bruises and scratches, nobody got hurt thank God - but the car is another thing :/).
Right? I was hoping that learning Japanese with the club would be a cool thing to do together. I wanted do it as an after school thing, but I don't know how many people would be willing to come by. I guess it's not such a horrible to have so many underclassman in the club... they can be just too much sometimes. I'm happy that so many of them go to the meetings and all but other than that, they're not very... reliable most of the times. Elections for next year's clubs officers are coming up in a few months and I can't say that I see anybody there that could really lead the club once when I graduate. I had to be reminded that my responsibilities at the school and the club only lasts until I get my diploma and walk that podium. Still, it would be nice to see the club last longer than two years.
Wow, I'm proud of you! Things have been pretty hectic but hey, you settled down in a new place and you're going back into college. Nursing is a really respectable job. I know a bunch of people that have jobs similar to that - I only can remember RNs right now haha - and couple others that plan to major in it for college. It's like the kind of job that is always need more people. Is that nursing degree a two-year degree? And volunteering is always a good thing and depending on who you help out or where, it could be really fun too. Because of the academic clubs that I am involved in, I have to do some volunteer work.
The new year is going to be a great year for you! If you want to continue the convo on FB, then you can PM me your name if you feel like it. But just to let you, the classes and clubs that I have this year might make me delay in responses, as uhhh you can see.
And I did get my college apps done! I made it even thought I was cutting it real close to the deadline.
Gehhhh. Just hearing about it sounds horribly painful. It's great that healed up nicely and everything though. Good thing that there wasn't any complications with the surgery or the recovery process.
For Anime Club, I was wondering if I should start a little Japanese study group during the next term after Christmas break. The only problem is that I know practically nothing about Japanese so I need put more effort in for the club. I feel like recently I made a breakthrough with the other club members in showing them how much I want to see this club become something great. To be honest, I really feeling that managing a club was one of the toughest things I ever had to do in all of years in school and I was stressing a lot on it. I have to work harder as president! ...Which reminds me that I have college applications due by the end of the month.
It's been a month since I checked, but how are things on your side? You've been through a really tough year. Did you get a job over in your new place? What's it like over there? The year is almost over but there's always the chance that you would get that lucky break that you need! If you can't find one, then all you gotta do is make that lucky break for yourself right? *fist pump*
And just to let you know, I also appreciate our friendship. I went into the beginning of my new school year without confidence in my abilities and worried because most of my friends went and graduated to go to college and wherever. I'm glad that I've been friends with you throughout this time and for letting blow off some steam whenever I felt stressed out. I don't know how much help I've been to you but you've helped me a lot too. :D So, you're welcome and thanks.
Aw man. D: That really sucks. So, no college or military? Dang. And 90 grand?!?!?! When did health care cost so much?! I hope you're doing well. Are you already out of the hospital? So much happened in this year to you. :(
Funding for the club is one thing, but bringing the club together to actually do something is harder. I'm trying to see if the club can do some fundraiser or find a sponser that is willing to give us some money.
You're moving to... Georgia? It's going to be hard moving into a new place. But that job, $22 an hour seems pretty good. What would you be working as? I was looking forward to post-high school life, but you really have it tough. It's been a few weeks since I last replied back but I really really hope that things are looking up for you. Keep on fighting!!
Whoa! Enlisting in the military, as in boot camp? So does that mean you're not to college anymore?... I won't be able to talk to you as often either huh? :(
But the chance to go live in Japan sounds pretty sweet. Which branch of the military are you going for? That's pretty damn cool. I actually joined JROTC this year at school. It sucks that I'm a senior now because I really like the class. It makes me wish I joined earlier. I might go for the ROTC program in college if they have one.
I remade an Anime Club at school this year! It was disbanded a few years back because there wasn't anybody that could take over as president (and I heard that the former club members were caught looking at hentai). Things haven't going so well though. I can't seem to get the club members together for anything since they're all doing different things or not coming at all. None have ideas no what the club should do as activities either. Worst of all, we have no budget since there is too many new clubs this year! I have my work cut out for me. This stresses me more than any test.
A new season of HOTD? I remember hearing a rumor about a second season two or so years ago. All of the hentai was a turn-off for me, but I still liked the series. Guess now I have another thing to look forward to.
I'm horrible at the game. I know the basics, but in a real game it's hard to put them to use (I can't remember them all and sometimes it can get really complicated). I'm better off collecting them!
I suppose that makes sense. I mean, I don't want to be stuck in a job that I would hate going to every morning for the rest of my life. But I'm still unsure about what I want to major in because I never thought about college and stuff too much.
Lol, I know what you mean. I can handle most genres of anime but it's hard for me to stay with a series that really long like Naruto and One Piece. I don't have the patience to keep up with it or try to start something that has like 600+ chapters/episodes.
My summer has been alright so far. I've been trying to hang out with some of my older friends before they leave for college. This will be the last summer before I have to start dealing all the troubles with college. I hope that I'll still be able to watch anime in between college classes lol.
Hmmmn... I would describe as a story involving a world with two main groups: Magic/Region and Science/Espers and a guy involved with both groups. Railgun (the one that I am more interested in) is a side story to the main series--To Aru Majutsu no Index. The plot in both get a bit darker as the series goes on, though there is some unnecessary fanservis, IMO. Railgun and Index aren't my favorite anime, but I do think that the concept of it is really interesting.
I'll have to try to get back into SAO. I kinda know how the first part of goes and I did think it was pretty cool. I have a feeling that I might like the .hack series more though.
Actually, I'm think I might need to start deciding what I am going to do with my life soon. I mean, I know what college I am going to, but I am not sure on what major to choose. It's either something that I would like to do or something that my benefit me in the long run. My teacher said to do the one that would make me the happiest... but I'm still not sure. I hope that I'll be able to feel the same way that you do with your college major, but I know wouldn't be able to make in the medical field. It's not really my thing.
Other than all the school stuff (nooo summer homework!!), life's been good to me. I have to try to enjoy what's left of my high school days, even if my senior friends are all gone now.
Magic? You mean the card game? Haha, don't worry about being a nerd. To be honest, I still go nuts over any new Pokemon games (POKEMON X AND Y!!!) and I collect Yugioh cards because I like the artwork :DD
Physical therapy has been pretty popular lately. My sister just graduated from high school earlier this month and is going into college in the fall this year. She was thinking about doing that major too. I wonder why so many people are interested in it :O
I'll be senior this fall and I'm beginning to start thinking about college and all that stuff too. I wanted to try taking some summer classes or a part-time job, but I ended up deciding against it. Have to catch up on the anime that I missed; I am remaking the Anime Club in my school because it was disbanded a while back.
SAO huh? I started watching it but I never gotten past the first few episodes since I was busy with school. I'll have to find time to finish it. There's a lot of love-hate on that anime around MAL. Right now, one of the best anime that I am currently watching is To Aru Kagaku no Railgun S. It's in the arc that I reallyyyyy wanted to see for a longggg time.
Wow, a lot has happened to you since last we talked! Looks like you're having a good time.
You're going to be in college? And you already have your own house too :O That's pretty amazing! Do you know what you're going to major in college?
Welcome back! It really has been a long time. :D
As for me, I finished all of my testing for this year, those real important ones that affect your classes your next year. I wished I didn't cram so much, it might've helped me remember some of the formulas and stuff better. It didn't help that there was this guy trying to copy my answers (even we had different test versions, lol) either. That was the bulk of my week. Haha, I'm glad that I still have anime to keep me from over-stressing. =)
Oh, and recently I started to go job hunting. I'm also thinking about getting First Aid/CPR certified too.
Haha, I plan to get better in both singles and doubles, for my coach and my team. My coach said he plans to make me play in singles next year for the season and in the league tournaments, so I don't want to let him down(: I always wanted to develop a unique playing style. I'm going to try to practice whenever I can or when time allows it.
Physical therapist, eh? Does that pay good? I still deciding on what I want to be. Archeology and Engineering has been on my mind for a while now. Going into the military sounds rough. You want to be in the army or marines?
I'm doing fine, just haven't had the time to go on MAL as often as I like. I go on usually to update my lists most of the time. Except on weekends, since I have free time. How about you?
