I still cannot believe this movie is on par with Pupa. The movie starts to deviate from the book by making Sulamin the antagonist and its becomes utter shit from there in. Sophie's voice actor was casted so wrongly and the voice acting was incredibly bad that it was hard to believe a human was voicing her. Though the animation is fluid, it's probably the only redeeming quality.
The plot was executed so poorly that even Pupa excelled at this very subject. The romance was forced down the audience's throat, and only the most pathetic people cried at the last moment which was filled to

I cried during the ending of the movie because it was so bad.
The movie introduces "On", which is basically a "darker" Nen form that basically stems from revenge. Three new characters get introduced as the villian's sidekicks, who sacrifice themselves and die when they fail to defeat a Hunter due to their vow with On. Netereo also gets pinned to the top of Heaven's Arena by On even though he is one of the strongest Hunters out there and does nothing for the entire movie except for the ending when he deals with the villian, while the entir scenario gets saved by the POWER OF ... |
