The series is pretty much predictable and common: a headstrong flam artist, a cool wind artist...the use of the four elements is a common concept in anime.
The ending is a bit disappointing. The anime ended with a lot of loose ends, and there was no second season to tie those loose ends together.
However, it is not a total loss. There are a lot of amazing battle scenes, especially the relay of fire and wind; a bit of romance; and some heart-breaking scenes to make you cry. Over-all it's a very good anime, and i totally recommend you watch it. :-)
