Gonna keep this short and sweet.

The story is hilarious. The ruler of a Demon world is resorting to working part-time at McDonalds to even survive. I often looked back and laughed at how poor of a situation he's in, for an Overlord.

The art was good. Nothing to spectacular, but definitey not poor either.

I particularly liked the opening theme. Background music sounds good and fits well.


Ah, the characters. They're all enjoyable. One thing I don't quite understand though is how the Demons don't retain some of their Demonic ways. However, I thought this could be due to the influence of living a human life instead of ... a Demon. Which makes sense to me, but I wish it would've cleared up more in the anime on their adaption to the Human world on earth.

VERY few series keep me interested throughout the whole season, and this definitely did that, while other series kinda feel like a drag when it comes to half of the season. There wasn't a moment where I was bored of this show.

Overall I think it's the enjoyment of the show that counts at the overall score. I almost gave it a nine, but seeing how much I enjoyed it, I had to give it a ten. I highly recommend this anime to anyone looking for a solid good comedy anime. Watch it.

Well, another anime had the potential to an outstanding anime. Don't get me wrong, it's a WONDERFUL series, but it often gets confusing and it feels you've been left behind at some points. I think most people will enjoy this series, so give it a try!

Story: Ah! The concept was astounding! However, it's poorly executed throughout the series. I feel this series should of had at least 24 episodes to make some room for the character relationships to grow. The romance genre for this series seems minimal to me and almost doesn't exist. However, that does not stop this anime from being one of my ... favorites in my opinion. 7

Art: See for yourself, and it'll explain itself! 10

Sound: I was hooked once I heard the opening theme. It draws you in and warms your heart. The overall music in the series is wonderful! 10

Character: I really wish some more episodes and romance were thrown in there! That would have been the icing on the cake for this series and easily could be an all time favorite. However, that's not the case. But there is indeed character development. We find out the true identies of people and the 'antagonists' motives. That part comes together nicely... sometimes. Other times leave us somewhat confused about the characters. 7

Enjoyment: Besides the lack of execution and romance, this was still a highly enjoyable anime and the ending was splendid in my opinion. 8

Overall: It was almost all there. The concept, the story, it was all set up and ready to go. But it seems something was left out at times which most of the time, fills in later. The romance section of this anime hardly exist (They really should've had at least 24 eps and more romantic development!). However it is still a great anime and I would highly recommend it. 9

Well, in spite of others saying this season is confusing and yes indeed it is, but I think that adds to the mystery and slowly watching throughout the season, pieces come to together to help with the confusion later in the series. I must say the never ending 'ending' feel of it keeps me watching and wondering: When will all of this end? The only part that I do not fully understand is how Yuuji came to find the Snake of the Festival and their encounter. Although it briefs and it says Yuuji's motives are to make a peaceful world where Flame Hazes no longer ... have to fight and so he can live with Shana, this part confuses me and makes me believe the Snake is deceiving him only to use him as a vessel for his existance until his body is rendered stable again. The goal of Yuuji is somewhat clear to me, but at the same time not as he constantly fights with Shana who is contempt to her own ways, despite his sincereity for doing all this for her. Overall I think a couple more episodes could have been added to the beginning to help tie some loose ends and clarify how all this came to be. But if you really enjoy the series like I do, all confusion will start to unravel itself in time.

Story: 9 Since the introduction is yet to fully clarify itself. However the rest of the plot unravels itself throughout the season.

Art: 10 I have to say the art in this anime is spectacular. In my own opinion. it's not dull and a lot of effects and quality character designs.

Sound: 10 The music really gets you in the mood and the effects of fighting and magic are also quite unique.

Character: 9 With the lack of clear character motive in the begining and somewhat throughtout the season, I feel Yuuji's character drastically changed without a clear reason and cause. Sure he met the Snake of the Fesitval and whatnot and wants to free Flame Hazes, but his past character wouldn't have aggreed to go against Shana. However, his kindness and desire to help others can also contradict this as he says he IS fighting for Shana's freedom.
On the other hand, supporting characters such as Margery and Sauto's development has finally reached a point where...

***(SPOILER)***
They finally realize eachothers feelings for eachother.

And the fact that Tanaka has resolved to not being part of the world of Crimson Lords and such anymore and stays behind with Ogata to be by her side.

Enjoyment: 10 The seemingly never endless conclusion carries throughout the season. The season could have ended within the first few eps, and again in the middle of the season. But it kept on trucking and the final revelation is yet to be seen. Thus keeps me interested in what will happen next and is this finally it? A unique strategy that only a few anime can pull off and STILL leave enjoyment for the viewer instead of it seemingly repeating itself.

Overall: 9. It was really close to a perfect score. But a few flaws and lack of clearance has left me with a feeling of 'emptiness' on the situation in the begining and still kinda feel it.
