Campione is about a world where gods exist and seem to roam free. If you are able to defeat one of these gods, you gain their power or "authority" and are labelled a Campione, and a king.
The story itself is about an individual who managed to become a Campione without really meaning to in a "chance" battle. As a Campione the protagonist then gets forced into battles with other Campiones and gods, with a strong harem overtone.
It would be a great anime if the writers didn't swing more and more ridiculously towards the harem side, and fan service. With extremely explicit kiss scenes that
