I try to rate based on enjoyment. I generally enjoy manga more than anime.

10 - This is reserved for my favorite stories across any medium.
9 - Among the best I've seen so far, still missing something extra to be a 10
8 - Great
7 - Good, doesn't resonate as strongly with me than other shows rated higher
6 - Enjoyable, weak in some areas but doesn't overpower the good parts
5 - Really hit or miss, some good parts but doesn't make up for the parts where it lacks
4 - Poor, I don't enjoy it at all
1-3 - Varying degrees of bad (still not sure what qualities separate them)
