Onii-chan dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne! is the generic of generic harem rom coms, with brocon thrown in. Ill start by saying I did not enjoy this anime, and i only watched it for the female heroine, Akiko. But some people enjoyed it so i guess you might like it? Lets see.
Story-3/10
Normally. i would give stories like this a 1/10. But harems don't need a good story. Basically, a brother lives in a house with a bunch of girls and his sister that all have the hots for him, and they get in all these ecchi situations. Basics of the basics.

Ill start of by saying any characters besides Akiko are generic as hell. Not memorable, and for the most part, not really likable either. I found myself getting annoyed at them most of the time. ESPECIALLY the male protagonist. He is the nicest of harem males, the mormon at your school, or the neighbour you figured was too nice. He reacts very poorly to the ecchi situations and acts so disinterested in love, and dense that he takes my spot for the worst harem male lead ever. Akiko is what lifts the heavy anchor to a 3/10 instead of a 1/10. She unlike the others, is original, cute and very likable, the saving grace of the show. She was the only reason i kept watching, but i was also hoping to see a payoff, a scene where she gets to have beautiful romance with her brother. Unfortunately, that NEVER happens, the most you get is a cute scene, no kissing or any real ecchi moments between them that are worthwhile. Overall, everyone is poor besides Akiko.
Enjoyment-3/10
I said before, i did not enjoy the anime. The characters are the worst part of the anime, and it's also the most important really. Without good characters, i don't really see this worth watching. Akiko is the only reason and probably isn't enough. The ecchi situations are generic, and only a few were good. I found myself getting annoyed frequently, and there is no real strong climax of the series. Quite lackluster really.
Overall-3/10
I didn't like this anime. The characters were weak and the whole thing was very generic. Akiko for me, is the only reason you could watch the show, otherwise stay away. The brotherly love is meh however. If you want more intimate brocon, watch Kissxsis. If you want more romantic brocon, watch Oriemo. While i didn't like the rest of the characters, others might and so if you like generic characters with brocon thrown in you may like this generic harem.
