I came into this series not expecting much, but I was very surprised about the concepts that the manga is trying to achieve. If you are looking for something similar to Shaman King, then then this is not the series you may want to read, since this Ultimo has a different vibe from Takai's predecessor.

The series Ultimo is based around the idea philosophers have been trying to figure out for centuries and that is what is truly more important within life, being good or being evil? And through this idea, our main antagonist Dunstan, who show similarities to Stan Lee, is trying to uncover ...

Preliminary (2/33 chp)
Hungry Marie is a series with a lot of promise. I was a huge fan of Beelzebub, and this series seems like it may borrow concepts from the original series. However, instead of raising a baby demon lord, the story focuses on a boy who fuses with the spirit of a former queen of France.

The artwork is pretty good, and the author brings back nostalgic faces in the forms of new characters.

Overall, I think this series is very enjoyable, and the character interactions so far are pretty funny. If you were a big fan of Beelzebub, then you may like this series as ...

U19 (Manga) add
Preliminary (3/21 chp)
U19 is a series with a interesting premise, but it may end up becoming another generic shonen series. Initially, after reading the first chapter of the series, I was somewhat interested in the plot, since it tackles a touching topic about the superiority of adults and the inferiority of children "under 19." However, due to this series being in Weekly Shonen Jump I am afraid that this series may end up being another new series ended shortly due to the popularity and rankings.

So far while reading the first 3 chapters of U19, the story isn't really doing anything new, but the author of ...

Black Cat (Manga) add
I think this may be one of the sleeper hits that many people may not be aware of, but Black Cat is definitely one of the most entertaining series I've read. The story is pretty straight forward, since it pretty much follows a story of a rouge Sweeper named Train Heartnet, who left an organization called Cronos. Train was the strongest assassin in the Cronos organization, but he decided to leave that lifestyle in pursuit of a free lifestyle. Although there are more things that will occur along the story, so I don't want to go any further in the plot.

The artwork is pretty good. ...

Preliminary (4/187 chp)
So far, I think this series is rather enjoyable, but I don't think it will last that long in the magazine. The plot is nothing interesting, and the story seems as though it will be yet another cliche Harem like To Love Ru or Nisekoi.

The artwork isn't much to talk about, since it really resembles a lot from the series Nisekoi. I don't know if this was intentional, since the mangaka may have been an assistant to the author of Nisekoi in the past.

Only time will truly tell how this series does in the future, since it isn't doing anything new.

SKET Dance (Manga) add
I think this may be a series that you will either love or hate, since it is not the traditional series a person would see in Weekly Shonen Jump. The plot is based on a group of high school students, known as the Sket-Dan, and they assist the people in the community by doing odd jobs. Immediately, you may think that this is a rip-off of the series Gintama, but it does have a few similarities to Gintama. For one, it has a 3 person group that consist of 2 boys and a girl. One being the main character of the story, the other being ...
