it seems tangentially related to my lesbian relationship with lonliness but that assessment undercuts its own individual choices as a work and the kind of autobiography it is. To me rather than kabas wish to atleast portray herself in drawing as an idealistic version of herself in this very its simply the lens you paint over familial abuse with especially with alchoholism where the 'abuse' part isnt immediately visible if its not the stereotypical violent kind of abuse. But anyway, back on topic as an autobiography and as a piece of narrative text its more of the former, the lessons it embodies are essentially long ... known therapy speak yet it reinofrces them through delivery FANTASTICALLY. Something just as simple as "a child is powerless in the face of an adults plight that they do not understand" and "you normalise the abuse you undergo to yourself if you dont have a concept of life outside it". honestly with very timeskip as the author aged i felt myself kind of recoiling because the abuse haunts her well into her 40s, yet again exentuating the already well known "morals" it has to offer. Autobiographies dont need to justify themselves with a point or a touch of "entertainment" to them but the simple act of learning something from the life that someone else has lived is the simplest form of human empathy we all should kind of strive to practice its not about the simillarity of the experience but rather that the visual medium of manga offers us perspective and a kind of unique, felt solidarity if you do happen to be closely tied to the subject matter. Genuinely with all my heart, thank you for this work and thanks for living to write it

A surface level deliberation on what it means to take a life, whether it can be justified by some contrivance or if it's all the same regardless on the surface, but i think ultimately it comes across as something that highlights the powerlessness of children in the face of any abuse or social hardship levied against them with the one desperate way they carved to fight back ultimately creating their own hubris. The story is kind of insanely heavy towards the end and the consolation it offers is meaningful but more bitter than sweet, that final panel of Tsubaki saying "it is wrong to take ... a life", is genuinely insanely difficult to read for me. Besides this the art is fairly edgy and its tinged with a lot of grit although it can sometimes be incredibly beautiful with these aspects in mind. *its no back when they called us devils in terms of seinen edgeslop art quality but its still good!. Not really any standout issues it uses it's short length pretty effectively like good, compelling read that treats its misery with great care, READ!!

Suprisingly boring in terms of what id kind of drawn from okamoto from elfen lied its got an interesting premise it kind of squanders for a pretty straightforward immediately evident realization so in my opinion the manga was written for two character to have crazy sex for like 2 volumes in that sense its really more of a comedy than anything but with like literally one bit, its mildly enjoyable though perfect brainless read if ur a sicko and freak a pervert (real shit). Also arts good mengo draws goodly although weirdly monotonously, she has very clear chara templates i guess!
