When I saw the words "Another: Episode 0", I was excited
The episode does not share the same ominous atmosphere the TV series had. But for fans of the series (such as myself), it's a necessary episode to watch. Why? Because it's a missing "piece of the puzzle" that properly explains the reason behind Mei's forlorn personality and attitude towards the curse.
I feel that this episode reveals the reason why she chose not to interfere with the deaths of the curse victims despite having the ability to do so and also why she chose not to reveal the identity of "the dead person".

Aquarion Evol

I don't normally watch mecha animes but this is definitely an exception.
Aquarion Evol is no doubt better than the original considering that the original (Sousei no Aquarion/Genesis of Aquarion) was already one of my top ten favourite anime. Having said that, Aquarion Evol is far more superior than the original in all aspects be it the story, the character development or the overall enjoyment factor. The new characters all share traits with characters from the original Aquarion series which makes it a delight for those who have watched the original to guess the identities of these "reincarnated characters". In a way, Mirai Nikki is a little like Gantz: the same "fight for survival" theme driving the entire storyline. But for me, this anime is so much more interesting to watch. There's a lot of violence but not in an excessive way and the story constantly keeps you on your toes with no boring bits. The characters (though crazy) are memorable and intriguing.
For me, Yuno's yandere character especially hit the spot. Her obsessive love for Yuuki is both disturbing AND kind of sweet...which is all the more satisfying when that love is somehow returned. I won't spoil any of the plot but the ... |
