The plot of the story was an interesting one that captures your attention and curiousity to where you wish to watch. But do not judge thi book by its cover as they say. The plot, as interesting as it was, was a bit poor in my opinion. It seemed more like the consentraded mostly on the gory and the fighting and less on the emotions, and characters, as well as a bit of past reflection. Though it was decent the plot idea itself was good, but they could have done a little bit more to make it better.
The art was one of the things I
...
liked most about the anime. The scenary around the character's were beautifully well colored and draw to where it looked somewhat relalistic. The character's if you looked closely you can tell at rare moments the emotions they were suppose to be feeling through eye interpretions weren't the right ones. But what really ticked me off was the blood. Like gaint paint and tomato splatz. The blood looked like nothing more then blobs of red paints, smeared. Not pleasant at all. Where it squirtz out it has a slither of real blood characteristics, not by much though.
Ah the sound. The songs for the opening and ending were hauntinly so. I loved that they had the genus to put a dark, sad and lovely melody to the anime. I thought they went pretty well for the most part. The other sounds now were good. Gun fire right, kills, and screams okay. I didn't mind the sound all that much.
Now for the Characters. What's a nice way to put this. The characters were pretty much decent is all I can say. Lucy started out strong but I though she failtured towards the end. The other character's personalities was bad to where they became forgettable. Very few were rememberable.
Besides the countless flaus, I enjoyed the dark, gory and emotional tune. The character's, though most annoying and forgettable, was fun to watch as horror and fear ran threw them, watching them twist into agonizing ways as they were killed 'smirks'. Yes enjoyable for horror fanatics.
Overall, (I wish I could give it the true rating I desired but Mal doesn't allow points, so) I rate it a good seven. The shortness of it peeved me off a bit but it provides good amusement, horror, and an intereging story, especially for those of you who love romance, it left you will some good bits of it. (This coming from a person that likes little to no romance.)

The story is at an alright level. It starts out with some basic humor to capture your attention and keep you reading. The idea of a demon vessel that dreams of one day becoming the village leader. Going through different missions, suffering from a traumatic childhood, betrayal, action, drama, humor, and adventure all thrown in. It sounds decent no, but not really.
Its more episodic in manga form. Parts of the story (side stories) were unnessacary, and took away from the main story. But it still manage to capture some interest so I continued. A little bit over after Naruto had turned older and went
...
after Gaara, it started to loose its edge. Until finally it just became complete migrane to me, a few times I had to stop reading and force myself back into it. Sure the idea is good but the development of it just looses itself after awhile.
The art now. I have to say the mangaka's art was actually quite descent and fair to the story. It should fantastic detailing, a few that may need to be improved but good none the less. The scenary was alright in a beautiful way, though the character's images, sometimes it seemed they seemed a bit crossed eyed, marks a tad bit slanted, etc. But their bodies were actually good. I wouldn't put too much into the character as the background though. The backround though beautiful in its own right, didn't seemed as focused on as the character's were. Wether the mangaka wanted you to pay more attention to the characters rather then the background, I do not know. But I have to say it could do with a few minor improvements.
Now time for the characters. I already complaned about the art, now their development. I have to say it wasn't as good as I would have hoped it to be. I found the character's development a bit jagged, boring, and poorly done once again. Half the time I zoned out in what they were saying while reading, okay a long story telled past becoming boring when a character tells it, not good at all.
If it isn't the story, characters, or art for me, then it is the plan humor in it. Though I found it a bit unlogic at times, the humor was great and provided me with a good few laughs. So my enjoyment of it was quite high over the others.
Overall I would have to give it a six. The story may loose its edge farther along, lacking logic, and poorly written. But its fair to say it can proved good enjoyment occationly.

I admit, before I began reading it. I was a little curious about it after seeing it at anime-plant. So I read a few fanfictions and I was hooked on the characters slight.. Until finally I went to onemanga..and imagine my delight at finding it there instead of having to go on a search for it on yahoo.
The Story diserves a 9/10.
The plot is a quite interesting one. I had to say it really had me hooked on the second chapter. The first was a little boring but with some good humor blended into it. It was the second chapter when things begin to get
...
interesting. I couldn't stop reading it, and when I had to the next time I was on I picked up where I left off. This manga's story is really good, a gothic blend, with a historical feel, and side trips of humor blended in.
The Art Diserves a 10/10.
I love Toboso Yana's work.. and quite honestly after seeing such great art.. I really wish I could draw like her. The art was fantastic it really showed great detailings of how and what the victorians wore, and what it was like back then. I really enjoyed seeing it. I always liked the Victorian era but never found a manga that shows it well quite like this. Yana really worked hard in this I can tell. Especially with the food.
The Characters: 10/10.
Again.. I say I really wish I could draw like her. The character like the art were great. Ciel especially as Sebastian. A butler to the core that serves his master to the fullest. Sebastian really shows off as a butler a bit in my opinion but that's another thing that I love about him. He's strict, and micheavous and if your not carefull he can play you like a harpsy cord, yet with a love for cats. Ciel a cold, genius, spoilt child earl that is just to adorable. I really love his icy stare.
Enjoyment...
Unlike most manga.. I really enjoy reading this. It brings a nice refreshing story style to my taste..
Overall.
This story diserves a 10 out of 10 rate. I do recommend it for those who love a good plot, a refreshing new style of plot, as well as for those looking for a few recipes to try.

Well what can I say, if your a vampire type of person than this anime is right for you. A descent amount of blood, some notes of humor, and some very good action scenes. Saya, though a little bit more shy and frightened then when she was in Blood: The last vampire, is still a good character, added with some new character you didn't see in the movie.
The story/plot to this was alright and found it rather enjoyable through most of it (though some episodes nearly bored me.). The art and animation of it was a lovely different to the old time vampire movies
...
that just have it in dark senery all the time 'twitch', this brings a good concept of light as well as darkness blended in together like a perfect cup of vanilla and carmel tea.
Sound was alright and the opening/closing songs went almost well with the anime as well as its graphics. Though I did not enjoy seeing Saya so.. uhm what's the right word, girlsh I was still able to add her to my favs, even though her attitude got down graded abit, the other characters were a nice change instead of just focusing on one person.
My enjoyment of this was quite high for a vampire anime. I have to say that seeing Diva and Saya together was really brought an amusing smirk to my lips, as well as the fresh way of blood splatter.
Overall, I give it a nine. It was good but like I said some bits of it bored me to death, some was odd and I found it quite annoying.

The word I can think of that makes this seires would be, Lovely. The whole thing was a lovely blend of sorrow, pain, myster, angst, and much much more. The dark tecture and supernatural blend go perfectly well.
I loved the darken mood and myster, along with the side notes of humor brought up within. And the character's were fantastic (though most annoying.).
The sound was great also, and the song choices for the opening and ending themes defentatly matched the series perfect.
I defentally enjoyed watching this series that I am still, even now, re-watching it.
