ok so this is my first review ever and what better anime to do it one than school days.
when i first started this anime i found myself thinking very "excitedly"
"woo another typical high school anime -.-"
i actually enjoy typical high school anime no matter how repetitious they seem to get. because of this i said "what the hell ill keep watching"
not realizing the surprise that was in store for me
to put it bluntly i love this anime. i feel its one of the best ive ever seen.
this is one of those animes that you either love or hate. i as you kno love it

Review:
since this is my first review ill pretty much just go down the list of ratings and then if i think of anything just add it at the end
Story: i feel that i am conflicted about the story. while i love the story i feel that the story (at least at the start) drug just a bit. yes i know that there was character developement needed but in the end we only truly feel for three characters. Makuto, Sekai and Kotonoha (Katsura). i feel that some things could have been left out to allow the end to come easier. like the three girls that come to Makutos' place (those whove seen it know who im talking about). they could have been for the most part left out of the story line and it still be fine. altough the less serious scenes were entertaining especially for the animes higher level of seriousness through most of it. 9/10
Art: i dont know much about art but even from the crappy quality that i watched this anime from i could tell that it was very well drawn. i have now seen it in high quality and this supports my oppinion. the characters were the exact type of drawing style i like. not too serious looking but not a full out chibi. not too unbelievable (example. a character is extremely skinny beyond human ability or fater than possible). nice art. 10/10
Sound: now i based this on basically the last episode. because frankly without the final episode the sounds just kinda standard. also this is from the uncut ending not the one on TV. i wont spoil for those reading this looking for a new anime to watch but being able to every little metallic sound and every little water like sound in the end won me over. 10/10
Character: okay the characters.... in two word all the characters are messed up. everyone has a problem in the end ( some more than others lol).
Makuto our main character- ok most will say that Makuto is vial and dispicable. well i dont sorry. i fell that yes there are aspects that are vial or despicable but he himself is not. i just think he got confused by a certian girl *cough* Sekai *cough cough*. if this person had done one of two things maybe there might have been a different out come.
Katsura the love interest- truly probably my favorite character. i like the quiet shy type but is beautiful at the same time. the kind that makes you wonder what they do in there free time being quiet and well-in-dowed. anyway, i feel only slightly angry with Makuto because of what he did to her. but like i said not FULLY his fault.
Sekai the "friend"- if no one else applies she is my least favorite character. the reason i hate her so is because she (in my opinion) screwed Makuto over. if she had just told Makuto her feelings in the first place instead of doing what she did he'd still be himself. or if she had stopped where she started. but no she never told him her true feelings and let him deteriorate and inevitably end the series. (stupid Sekai)
over all these characters are what make the series to me anyway. i gave it a 9/10 because of the conflicts they create (wouldve got a 10/10 if not for Sekai)
Enjoyment: this series is good for those of you wanting a different anime. and if you want a surprise ending. i enjoyed this anime from the start pretty much, but lie ive said its a bit slow at the start (after episode four it gets better believe me). also like ive said you either love or hate this anime 10/10
Overall: overall i would highly recommened this anime to all. unless you dont like school stories this is a great anime good story. good conflict. but the ending will make you freak. youll actually feel like you know some of the characters and be (like me) yelling at the screen telling them their idiots. even though you know full and well they cant hear you at all not to mention they arent real T.T
