Madoka Magica and Revolutionary Girl Utena are both very similar in the aspect of breaking down the magical girl genre and turning the story into a psychological narrative about the issues of young girls and morality as a whole so, if you liked madoka for that, Utena is a must! And also, both have a pink haired protagonist + purple themed "love interest" (arguable) so if thats your thing go for it too lol.
