I feel like" is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon" is a misnomer that does a disservice to the anime after watching it. I was turned off from the anime based on the title and didn't give it a shot until I was browsing through anime descriptions and read it without reading the title. In comparison to Sword Art Online, I will say that this anime is Sword Art Online done right.

Now, the anime in of itself does have the typical fanservice of a harem series. However, that doesn't make this anime deserve a 2 ranking. If you watch the ...

Nostalgia does not make the heart fonder it seems.

I am a big fan of the original Digimon series but this movie is honestly horrible.

Story:
While there are hints to something larger occasionally in the plot, every scene is needlessly dragged on. The slice of life parts that open the show only sustain itself on nostalgia and is infinitely worse than good slice of life animes out there. The latter half of the show involves the main characters staring dumbly at danger as monsters attack being nothing more than passive bystanders.

Art:
I felt as if I was watching an overly (bad) artistic movie made by some independent ...

Baccano! (Anime) add
Baccano! is a very special type of show that doesn't fit the typical anime mold. If you enjoy HBO shows such as Boardwalk Empire, or anime such as Death Parade or ERASED, then this is the show for you. If you don't, however, then I would avoid this show.

Story:
The show expertly interleaves four parallel yet interconnected stories in a way that isn't confusing (note the OVA episodes are worse in quality). The plot is intricate and quite deep. Every time I rewatch this show I notice some things new. The anime adaptation and English voiceover is arguably one of the best representation of the West ...

Working!!! (Anime) add
Overall:
From the simple comedy that was season 1 to the plot focused season 3, Working!! has oddly a good metaphor of growing up. Reminds me of those carefree days no so long ago. Yet it remains it's lighthearted charm.

The show has come a long way from when it started, and not in a bad way. There is considerably more plot in season 3, a slice of life anime where things actually happen. Unlike season 2 which teased you with development and didn't go anywhere, this season has real development. The amount of laughs and gags for the sake of it has gone down, but this ...

Coming from Time of Eve, I looked forward to this movie considerably.

I think that perhaps my higher expectations for the show ruined my enjoyment of it ultimately. Don't get me wrong, the movie was very good. The art, atmosphere, and everything is on par with the classics.

What left me hanging was in the character development field, where things were just too predictable. I was hoping for a less simplistic character development than what the online preview presented. However, the overall direction followed what was expected, with very few surprises. The developing bond between the two main characters also seemed to occur less natural than in ...

Unlike other reviewers, I didn't have too much trouble understanding the plot of the anime. While it is somewhat complicated, most things make sense until the end of the show. However, I do agree that there were some things which could have been improved. At first glance, the show has mystery, horror, some funny moments, even a bit of romance. Seems to be great right? Unfortunately, the short number of episodes really seems to have hindered this anime. While the show does "conclude" the main plot, it seems to do so in a rush. For most of the 13 episodes, the show is a paranormal ...
