==You like simple stuff, swords, feelings, and stunning battles? Then read it==
That's my second review so far and this time it's for Stranger: Makou Hadan. Well guys, i have completed a couple of anime so far, 82 in my animelist but lets say about 50 without counting second seasons e.t.c but its been a long time since i found something to really amaze me and compel me thinking about it all day. Well, Stranger Makou Hadan was an anime movie that gave me hope that there are some really great anime out there and i haven't found them yet. Before i start analyzing more and
...
more about the anime i must first say that if you like sword fights and samurais in general stop reading and go watch the movie immediately because you will just love it.
There are some anime out there which their stories is truly remarkable. In some cases complicated in a way (like steins;gate) that you found them outstanding in the end and you just remain still and thinking so you can understand what really happened. Stranger: Mukou Hadan can't offer you that feeling. Its story is pretty simple and not even close to complicated. It's about a lonely warrior who saves a little boy and its pet from some evil organization which keeps hunting the boy over and over again for some reason (no spoilers) and there is our starting point of this wonderful journey. What Mukou Hadan can offer you with its story? Relationships, Loneliness, Feelings, Survival, Loyalty and it offers them with a simple and at the same time unique way that really touches your heart.
Stranger: Mukou Hadan aired in 2007 so i could say that its art is great enough and simplistic to its atmosphere that it fits very well with the story. Where Stranger: Mukou Hadan really succeeds is the animation. When i first saw that Stranger: Mukou Hadan had the same animator as many other great anime like FMAB i knew that its animation will be outstanding. Well my expectations were lower. During most action scenes the frames per second was about 8-10. This might sounds low but its over the standard rate of any great animated anime out there. The battles were just EPIC. Great job once more Nakamura, Yutaka.
Sometimes you just cant understand what the story wants to say to you or feel the intense moments of an anime if the soundtracks sucks. Once again Stranger: Mukou Hadan has to offer something fantastic in its own way. The OST are simple melodies that fits extraordinary with the rest of the package. The atmosphere, the time period, the feelings, the battles.. You can hear them.. You can hear all of them just in the OST.. I finished the movie and then i just searched in youtube for the soundtracks. When i clicked and the video started playing i immediately felt everything i felt during the anime. Well that is what i call an outstanding soundtrack because it didn't passed unnoticed and other than that it contains every single feeling that the anime offered you.
Sometimes when you see the phrase "young kid" in the synopsis of an anime you simple say "classic" and move on to the next one. You shouldn't just do it this time. Well this time its not just about a kid and a lonely warrior because there are some pure feelings of friendship in there. Well how can that be? How a warrior can even be a friend with a kid and a dog? Its something you must discover it and believe me the outcome is great. The magic of how two so much different souls can create such a bond when there is none at the beginning is what i call character development, a very basic ingredient that most of the anime fail to provide. The main antagonist now is an interesting and really strong fella with a simple personality, fair and honest and a fantastic voice actor who does a really great job. Stranger: Mukou Hadan has to offer you more than that because there is some other interesting characters who take place and they have much to say and do during their adventure.
Overall i recommend this anime to everyone.. It is definitely a must watch anime.. Dont make the mistake to let it another day out of your completed list..
