Hey how's it going? I see you've continued on with JoJo. Welcome to the dark side haha. I haven't been watching as much as I was a year ago, but I'm off work for a little while after breaking my elbow. Now I have too much time and I can't figure out what to do or watch. 1st World Problems I guess.
I'm excited for another season of Berserk though. I wonder if they'll just continue or pick a different arc.
It tries to be dark and edgy, with cute girls in mechas and it is ehhh decent. The characters are really predictable and the first 6ish episodes I've seen have been straightforward, but it does have lots of fanservice and action.
The new Berserk OP is so good. I didn't really watch all of it because I typically just skip op/ed to save time. I'm so hype for this arc. Luca was probably my favorite side character and this arc was pretty gruesome.
Stardust Crusaders was awesome. I feel like pretty much any time Joseph is in the episode, it's going to be good.
I think the reason the Berserk animation bugs me more is the Fujiko Mine series and the new Lupin stayed true to the retro feel and art. It made the anime look so refreshing compared to everything else that has aired recently. It does look better than the Sailor Moon reboot, but that show seemed to improve the artwork as the series went on and it was still enjoyable. You're right about the music and sound with Berserk though, it's better than the old op.
It got stuck in my head and the melody was really catchy, but wow the vocals. haha

I guess you've seen a lot since the last time I checked in. What did you think of Desert Punk and JoJo? Pretty troll haha. While deeper shows like Utena and Monster were amazing I'm just a sucker for wacky shows that have some originality.
Also, I'll have to highly rec Fujiko Mine again if you're looking for something with sexual themes, but not outright shameless with its presentation of the subject unlike Valkyrie Mermaid (which was still enjoyable for 1 reason or the other).
Yeah, Minmay's immaturity was too trying. I like how Lisa was more realistic. Unnaccepting of a cocky upstart, but not too stubborn to change. The movie was really good and a little different if you wanted more.
What do you think of Desert Punk? It's pretty wacky. I actually preferred the dubs.
So, I checked the first ep of Valkyrie Drive. As you said, "Looks like a lot of fighting, ecchi and yuri." It was exactly as advertised. The show didn't beat around the bush either, it dove straight in.
My friend is in a similar situation with baseball. She grew up in a football family and never paid attention to other sports much, but she went to a minor league game for a business thing and now she likes the atmosphere of live games. Its good for me since, I watch a lot of sports.
I know a lot of people really like GitS: SAC, but I wasn't able to take it seriously. I guess its more of a pet peeve of mine. I don't like when serious shows have such blatant fanservice. It hurts the integrity of the anime. The older GitS movie was amazing though.
Not sure if I ever really have a mood for that sort of thing, but they're both titles that I keep hearing about. I figure I might as well see what all the fuss is about, since a good anime is just a good anime.

"So put yer grasses on, nothin wirr be wong."
I got a friend to try Utena and he's now joined the dark side. Great Success!
Also, have you seen the new Berserk? I like the arc it started in, but the animation is really off-putting. I actually prefer the 97 animation more.
and thank you, too~ :3

On the bright side, it seems more Murcielago came out. I'll have to read those when I get the chance. I haven't been able to find anything similar.

Just to pique your interest a little more

Looking forward to the next episode haha
