Story: 8/10
First of all, in the beginning, the story might seems like the general type of magical school harem with ecchi. It's true that have ecchi and a few scenes with fanservice, but it isn't the general harem like in many others, because the male lead acts as a real male lead. The story is a very good one, Every character has a story from him/her. And if you like the style of action and romance then I can say that this is the best one in this style, mainlly, because the fact that there is real romance and one part of the history focus
...
on that. The story, in general, is divide in arcs, this anime focus on the qualifiers from the main magicl tournament that happens latter on the novel. This anime adptation was more to introduce the characters and the main plot.
Summing up: It's a story about magical school that focus on the fights between the students.
Art: 7/10
The art is good, but the animation no so much. In the fight scenes the animation is very good, but in the normal scenes the level decreases. The opening animation is a bit different, but I liked it.
Sound: 7/10
The sound is good too, mainly the sounds during the fights increases its tension, but could be better. The opening and ending song are cool.
Characther: 9/10
Ok, the characters are the best part of story, unfortunately not all the characters storys were explained. The male lead is a very different from the typical harem protagonist that does nothing with the girls, this MC is the opposite of them, but remember this is not a harem anime.
The main error of this part was that the plot behind the main heroine was not explained.
Enjoyment: 10/10
Ok, I rated this with a 10/10, because I love the style of action and romance anime, and in Rakudai Kishi we have good fights and excellent romance between the characters. I enjoyed all the episodes. In every 4 episodes the enemy changes, consequently the type of fight changes too, I could not wait to see the next one.
Overall: 9/10
If you are looking for an anime with the style of magical school, or with action and romance, you really should take a look on this.
