Takemichi fucking sucks and I mean it. I cannot watch a show or read a story where the MC is this weak guy that cannot do anything on his own, cries all the time because he is weak but never improves, and every single character is stronger and more complex than him. These people don't need him! Most of the time he's only here to be a punching bag, the thought of training his skills never even crosses his mind, not even in the past, he can't even hit the gym. He's supposed to be a grown ass man yet he's a pet for some ... teenagers. Seriously, why did the author made him so pathetic? Baffles me. At least Nirei from Wind Breaker annoyed me at the start but he actually gets character development, Zenitsu is another piece of the same pie and guess what? Annoying but cool, he gets shit done and improves, but Takemichi? Nah, his only weapon is his communication and he can't even do that properly.

Honestly much better than I expected, I went in waiting for either smut with a mediocre story or just abuse left and right (you know, the rabbit hole of omegaverse) and ended up sobbing because it was that well written. The art is also great, many characters involved, not so one dimensional, you can see there's room for improvement. Very sad but hopeful as well, and I dare say healthy relationship between the main characters. Need a volume 2 with a timeskip with everyone thriving. I'm very picky with the omegaverse genre and don't read it too often, I quite liked this one. Worth the ... read.

Got to reread this again in 2024 after 2 years, still a pretty good story.

I got volume 1 in a physical copy, volume 2 is already out in Japan so now it's a matter of time for the English version.

Beautiful art, the story is really great, I love the little plot lines it has, the idea of vampires and immortality are very good when used to address some subjects like loss or depression (if done right), so the story is a bit sad but it also has a hopeful feeling of restart. I like everything so far, just hope no plot lines or characters gets left behind and the harder themes get further developed, is always disappointing whenever ... we see a clue in a story and the author just never gets back to it.

Overall, excited for volume 2.

The anime is not bad but having to watch a seinen manga with such dept get adapted into a PG-13 is really sad, so much content was cut that it changes the meaning of certain conversations sometimes, and it's just disappointing. *There's some upcoming nude for art purposes in the manga that's probably gonna get cut out too to make it more family friendly but it would change the anime from the source material entirely*.

After reading the manga, the anime is just lacking. I understand those who only watch the anime for whatever reason, but if you also think something is ... missing, the manga has the answer, feel free to check it out.
