I have seen the manga before and thus have come to expect the anime to be equally enjoyable. So far the impressions have been relatively positive. However,the reason why I'm writing this review is because other reviewers have expressed their views so far and I got this "err, not exactly the ratings I'd like to see" feeling. Please don't get me wrong, I'm a big sucker for slice of life anime and this one just hits the sweet spot for me, but as I'm trying to let other people know about the anime I feel that I should be as objective as possible in giving ... my ratings.

And without further ado:

Story: 6
Slice of life anime's Achilles heel is definitely the story. Acchi Kocchi by itself is no exception. The plot revolves around a close group of friends in high school and how they spend their daily lives in school, getting involved in idiotic-but-cute activities and...romance. The plot, like usual with slice of life anime, is a matter of hit or miss. While its relaxing and laid back nature might be more than adequate for fan of the genre, people who are looking for more serious and elaborate storyline should make their choice elsewhere.

Like the other reviewer has said, the cast of Acchi Kocchi is a combination of cliched archetype characters. From the more dere than tsun Tsumiki to the cool and composed Io, the slightly perverted sidekick Sakaki, the wacky, mad scientist Mayoi and the othodox klutz Hime...individually, they are not that great, but when put in such settings, actually prove to synergize well with others. How could someone not enjoy the sight of Io and Tsumiki getting into a romantic sittuation, only to be sabotaged by the deliberate third-wheel combo Sakaki and Mayoi, while having Hime nosebleed like a mini fountain in complement? I also found that this character combination helps prevent the romance from being overly "warm" and mushy-gushy, retaining the easygoing mood for the show.

The cutesy art in Acchi Kocchi, while nothing extraordinary taken out of context, seems to work well with the other elements. Characters and scenery are well polished and portrayed in a manner that extremely helps in describing the carefree and heartwarming atmosphere of the show.The combination of Tsumiki's various expressions (including the cat ears that occasionally pop out), Mayoi's catlike upper lip, the arrow transitions, etc... gives the show an unique touch and distinguishes it with others of the same genre (Hime could do with a bit less of nosebleed though :3 ).

Sound: 9
Really great voice acting here! Tsumiki's tsundere shyness, Io's composure and calmness, Mayoi's wackiness...are all absolutely well expressed. It gives me the feeling that the voice acting has been carefully considered, and if you don't mind, tailored to give such excellent result. Also, the OP and ED, while do not sound terribly brilliant, are cute (sounds like the perfect word to describe the series) and catchy nonetheless.

Enjoyment: 9
Enjoyment, when it comes to specific show and different individuals, has always been a matter of "your mileage might vary". Specifically, I wholeheartedly enjoy the show despite its obvious plot drawback since that works for me. Putting aside all the complicated stuff, watching anime to me is simply to put a smile on my face and make me happy, and as another reviewer has also said, this season I have a reason to look forward to Friday.

If complicated story, awesome fighting scenes and wonderfully designed characters are what you're looking for, then I'm sorry to say but you probably would not fare too far with Acchi Kocchi. But if you're the same as me, seeking for your slice of life fill of the season with cute characters, heartwarming atmosphere and a touch of comedy, then this one is undoubtedly for you.

This is my very first review on MAL,and I 've decided that it's going to be about my favourite fall season show which just ended recently,Seitokai no Ichizon.This review might contain grammar mistakes and wrong uses of words,since I myself am not a native speaker to begin with.however,I'd be very glad if someone found this useful.
Please notice that the overall ratings doesn't show how much I like this show.It's just the average of all the aspects like animation or sound,etc...Therefore it should provide you a true and fair view about how enjoyable this show is in my opinion
Story:left out
As mentioned,SnI is a show about the ... endless chatting of a group of teenagers in the student council room.There's not much thing going on,therefore I decided to leave out the rating for the story,since it might be unfair to do the rating for such a serie like this
Sound:9/10
SnI features a bunch of rookie voice actors (4/5 of the main cast had their first debut in the show).However, I must say that they did a really great job there.The voices greatly suit the characters's personalities and successfully reflect them,from the shy,BL and games addict Mafuyu to the "so-called" tsundere Minatsu;the manipulative and dark but mature and kind hearted Chizuru and the childish Prez.And,of course we can't forget about Kondo Takashi,a rather experienced voice actor who did a really great job in dubbing Sugizaki Ken.Put all of them together in a show and you are sure to experience fast-paced,gatling gun conversation exchanges,which I found to be very exciting and unique on its own.The BGM is nothing special,as well as the OP song,althought the varieties of the ED songs might be a plus point(there is 1 ED for each episode!!!)
Character:9/10
At a glance,the cast of SnI might seem to be nothing special,a harem consisting of a specific group of girls:a student council president,a tsundere,a shy girl and a mature one;and a main lead.However,each an every character has their own traits which make them very unique.The Prez is a loli inside-out,the tsundere doesn't have any "dere" at all as well as being good at maths and athletic(very contrary,I know) ,the mature girl is a bit of a sadist and a lesbian while also being manipulative herself,and the common shy girl also happens to be a game addict and a BL lovers(which gives wings to many of her fantasies between the main lead and a certain boy).And,unlike your common harem,the girls hardly show any feelings towards the boy,results in the show having no "romance" tag
despite being a harem anime.And,last but not least is the main protagonist,Sugizaki Ken,who serves as a punch-line character,a harem lead without any usual wishy-washiness as he declared to conquer the student council and make them his own harem but actually is a good boy at heart.
The rest of the cast is also interesting.I had to admit that Elise is one of the most(if not the most) interesting and manipulative loli I've ever seen,despite her cute appearance.

The art is above average.The character designs are cute,however as the show features mainly in a room,there is not much thing to say about it
Enjoyment:8/10
As a parody show it requires a bit of experience in watching anime to fully appreciate all the jokes and parodies(personally I could only catch 70% of the references after having watched anime for 5 years),therefore it might be not that good for people who just start watching anime .The drama is a bit lame as it only gives us a vague idea about Sugizaki Ken's past.The fan service is suprisingly good an humourous since more than half of them coming from the main lead's fantasies.Overall,it is really an enjoyable show and my favourite for the fall season
