I was ready to write off this show after 3 episodes. It was clearly Soul Eater NOT!. However, I got bored one day and gave the rest of the show a chance and I'm glad I did. The show picks up around episode 4 and is actually relatively decent.
Given the first 3 episodes you expect this to be a slice of life anime, set in the Soul Eater universe. However, you do eventually get actual plot points, and some interesting things do start to happen. Slowly it starts becoming more and more similar to the original.
Plot: Slow to get started, but ultimately its
...
fine.
Characters: We get to see some of the original cast, and they are fine (mostly due to nostaglia) I never really warmed to the new characters).
Overall: Not fantastic and strictly worse than the original, but not a complete waste of your time either.

Have you ever pondered the eternal philosophical question: What happens when you put a banana in a microwave with a tray table that rotates counterclock-wise?. Believe it or not, this is the central theme of the entire anime. (This is not truly a spoiler as it happens as early as episode 2). Either this will intrigue you into watching, or repulse you, and you should trust your initial response to that question.
Story: 10/10
I don't really like the official blurb you see when you read about this anime, as it has nothing really to do with anything. The story has an interesting hook, good development,
...
a few twists, and that's really all that's important. I reiterate, either the hook in ep 2 will grab you or it won't. If it does, you are in for a good time.
Art: 9/10
Overall, it is decent. It does not detract from the story in any way. That said, there are many animes with better art than this one.
Sound: 9/10
Similarly, the sound is decent. It in no way detracts from the story, and it helps at key moments, but it is not a reason to watch this anime over any others.
Characters 10/10
Hero- While there are many great protagonists in anime, he is in my top 25 somewhere.
Heroine- Foils with the protagonist very well. It makes for a great 1-2.
Other pseduo-main characters- There are very few weak characters on this show. Almost any character that gets an episode devoted to them, is usually a strong, powerful episode worth watching.
Enjoyment 10/10:
I laughed, a lot during this anime. Probably the most of any anime other than Gintama. But the show has its serious moments that are also profound and moving. It really covers the entertainment spectrum on all angles.
Overall 10/10:
There are no factors which detract from the enjoyment of this show, and many good reasons to watch it. When watching it, at least give it until the end of the second episode before giving up on it.

I found this anime by hitting a random button, and recognizing the word "Stand". I had seen the Gintama episodes about it, and figured I should watch the real thing. It was actually quite enjoyable. I know nothing about the original manga, but apparently that probably increased my enjoyment.
Story: 8/10
There is a bad guy. Good guys gather to fight him. They run into Bad Guys minions. Some minions turn into Good guys. They fight the Bad Guy.
This is true for pretty much all shonen. What differentiates them is the action itself. Stands are a cool medium, and the action is decent.
Art 10/10
The
...
art is definitely reflective of the era it was made in (1994). As such it looks like an early 90s anime, which I actually appreciate. There is a good amount of detail in the drawing, and there was clearly a lot of effort put into the art.
Sound: 8/10
Its fine, nothing distinctive, but nothing bad.
Characters: 8/10
For a shonen, the characters are relatively diverse and work well together.
Enjoyment: 10/10
It is nice and short (only 13 eps) unlike say Naruto, Bleack, Dragonball. It really feels more like Trigun than anything else.
Overall: 9/10
If you liked Trigun, watch this. If you like Naruto, but hate fill, watch this. If you like K-On!, then this probably isn't for you.

I want to write a great review about Trinity Blood, but in truth the show only deserves an okay review. The first few episodes look quite good, and it looks like its going in a good direction. However, the show starts to decay. It cuts away from scenes the audiences wants to see. The plot stops makings as much sense. Through it all, it has its moments, but the overall quality of the show declines throughout the series, and is never as good as it is in the beginning.
Story- The show starts with a story. Around half way through it transitions into a different
...
story. Both have the potential to be cool, but neither follow through on the promises they make.
Characters- Similar story, there is great potential in almost every member of the cast, but most fall short of that one defining moment of awesome.
The Art and Sound are fine.
Overall, if you considering watching Trinity Blood, do it. The first few eps are good. However, don't be surprised if you don't feel compelled to finish it.

There being only one episode out so far, there is only so much to say. That being said, if you enjoyed FLCL, it has a strangely similar feel to it. Basically, the story, art, sound, characters, nothing really matters. Its basically a series of jokes.
There is a character that has a "normal" outlook on life, but has one major restriction on how he lives it, and another who is anything but normal, and is unintentionally abusing his restriction on life. As such the entire show thus far is Set-up, Gag, WTF, Gag, Set-up, Gag, WTF, Gag.............
If they could actually keep that up for 13
...
episodes I would be genuinely surprised, I expect this show to tank after around 3 or 4 eps, but the this first one was certainly interesting, and worth watching, and worth checking out episode 2 when it comes out.

The Count of Monty Cristo (Gankutsuou) is a Gonzo, meaning don't expect any details of the story its based on to be reflected in this anime. However, that doesn't mean that this anime isn't worth watching either. In my opinoin the way that you view the first episode will largely affect the way you enjoy the rest of the series.
Art: 6/10
The way you view the art, is the most likely thing that might sway your view of this story. I suspect to some they will love the style and give it a 10/10. Personally I found it jarring and distracting to the point that
...
I almost stopped watching. In particular, the way the clothing was illustrated proved hard for me to overcome (A character would move his shoulder, his jacket would move, but a symbol on that shoulder wouldn't move). Long story short, if you love the art, you would rate this anime a 10, if you hate the art stick with it but ultimately it will only be a 8/10 or 7/10 anime for you.
Sound: 6/10
I hated the intro music. Sadly, even if you skip the intro music at the start of the show, the song pseudo-becomes plot relevent and is played repeatedly throughout the anime. If you enjoy the intro, the anime quickly improves to a 9/10 if not a full 10, but I just couldn't bring myself to enjoy it. The rest of the background music and the ending theme are adequate but don't really affect my score.
Story: 9/10
Art and Sound aside (which can be a lot admittedly), the story and characters really are what make this anime worth your time. Being a story about revenge the plot is set up well and grabs you in. Anything more would be a spoiler.
Characters: 9/10
The characters that matter are well developped, and you can usually feel how they feel, and predict how they will react. The only reason it is not a full 10 is that the show assumes to can keep track of characters that don't really matter much, and only appear sporatically.
Overall: 8/10
I acknowledge this overall score is not very helpful. For some people depending on how they view the art and sound this show ranges from a 1 to a 10. However I feel the average anime watcher would put this somewhere around an 8.
