Greetings! - こんにちは - Kon'nichiwa
I've been watching anime since high school, but then stopped for a number of years & then recently got back into it thanks to a few of my anime otaku friends.
The first anime I saw was DBZ followed by Pokemon on Cartoon Network back in the early 2000's. Then Adult Swim came on & that's when I watched Death Note, Cowboy Bebop, etc.
I joined the anime club in college for a couple years & that was fun but there was a time conflict with another club that I was leading at the time so I couldn't always attend.
Now I'm catching up on the newer, and older, anime & highly enjoying it.
I usually only watch dubbed anime because I am visually impaired. It's hard for me to read the subtitles for subbed anime. And with my special glasses, I'd have to either pick watching the subs on the screen or watch the action. I may (would like to) learn Japanese at some point so then I can watch sub anime without subtitles. I know some Japanese from dabbling in text books, but I also took Karate growing up and we had to learn certain words and phrases - some focused on Karate terminology and others were general conversational words and phrases.
One day, I'm going to visit Japan. It's on my bucket list. I would love to hike around the country and meet some awesome people and eat some awesome food. I'd love to go in Spring when the Sakura are blooming.
Outside of anime, I'm a storm spotter/chaser for National Weather Service, a ham radio operator, and a gamer. I'm also a music connoisseur. I do a lot of work in IT and social media.
