The thing that reminded me the most of Kemono no Souja Erin was the heroines. I would say they have almost identical personalities, where they are extremely kind, caring, witty, and smart, with a strong determination to accomplish their goals. They also both have to escape their home villages from people who are trying to capture them. They are both discriminated, Shirayuki for her red hair, Erin for her green eyes and hair since she is a descendant of the mist people. They are also both learning to become master healers, Shirayuki being a herbalist, Erin being a Touda breeder and healer. Because of their gifts, both heroines become extremely valuable to the government. Both series are set in a non-modern fairy tale type era. They are also much more intense and violent than they seem at first glance sometimes. Overall both shows have the same feel about them. If you liked Akagami no Shirayuki-hime, I would recommend Kemono no Souja Erin.
